In the next hand after being the victim of a river card, Patrick Eskandar moved all in from the small blind for 25,000 and David Jackson called out of the big.

Eskandar got it in good but fell behind on the K♥3♠7♣ flop. The J♣ turn was of no consequence, but the A♠ river was as Eskandar paired up to stay alive on the bubble.
Amit Ashkenazi was all in for 68,000 in the cutoff and at risk against Patrick Eskandar in the big blind.

The J♠5♠4♠ flop gave Ashkenazi spade outs to survive, although the 8♥ turn changed nothing. The 10♠ spiked the river, however, and more groans filled the room as yet another at-risk player improved to survive on the bubble.
Action folded to John Morgan who jammed for just over 100,000 from late position. Yang Lu made the call to set up a runout with Morgan at risk.

The flop came 4♥6♠10♦, leaving Morgan with only runner-runner outs to the win. The K♠ came in on the turn and brought with it half of the needed running outs for Morgan to double and keep bubble play in action.
When the J♣ completed the board and Morgan's straight, the room let out a collective gasp as the sick runout keeps everyone in bubble play and still out of the money.
Kartik Ved was in a heads-up pot against Giuseppe Pantaleo on a board of 9♣7♦7♠J♣.
Ved bet 18,000 on the turn and Pantaleo called. Ved then put Pantaleo all in on the 4♥ river and Pantaleo took some time before calling for his remaining 20,000.
Ved could only show ace-high with A♥8♥ as Pantaleo revealed K♠K♥ to double up on the money bubble.
Chad Brewer raised to 10,000 in early position and Karim Ghozlani moved all in for 33,000 in middle position. Action folded back to Brewer who called.
The players waited to reveal their holdings while the other tables finished. After several minutes, a crowd swarmed the table and the cards were flipped over.

A king in the window brought excitement in the air as the dealer spread the K♣3♦2♣ flop, but the anticipation quickly turned to a room of groans as the A♥ turn locked up the pot for Ghozlani before the meaningless K♠ confirmed his double.
On the first hand of hand-for-hand play, there were two all-ins and a call. In one of them, Ralph Marquez had raised to 12,000 from the cutoff and the short-stacked David Williams just called from the big blind, leaving himself a paltry 16,000 behind.
The flop fell 5♠K♥9♣ and Williams put in his remaining chips, which Marquez called.

Williams' stop-and-go play had him out in front, but the 4♣ turn made things interesting as Marquez picked up a flush draw.
Fortunately for the 2004 WSOP Main Event runner-up, the 6♥ river was a brick and he doubled on the bubble to keep his 2023 NAPT dreams alive.
The floor has instructed dealers to hold up for hand-for-hand play with 161 players remaining and 159 spots paid.
Jeremy Pekarek raised to 11,000 from the hijack only to see David Peters commit his last 85,000 to the pot from the button. The blinds got out of the way and with action back on Pekarek, he paused to double-check his cards. Eventually, he decided to flick in a call to put Peters at risk and headed to a runout.

The 4♦J♥10♣ flop kept Peters way out in front but gave Jeremy Pekarek an open-ended straight draw and backdoor hearts to go with it. When the 4♥ landed on the turn giving Peters a full house, the 9♥ river became meaningless as Pekarek sent a full double to Peters just a few spots from the money.
Christina Gollins was all in for around 50,000 against Mario Arribas, who had her covered.

"Baby Shark" had her opponent pipped and was in great shape to double up before the flop landed K♣J♦2♥ to give Arribas a set. The A♥A♠ runout improved him to a full house as Gollins was eliminated a few spots off the money.
Richard Alati was all in for about 44,000 in the big blind and at risk against Eric Baldwin in the small blind.

The Q♣7♣6♣ flop left Alati needing to fade additional outs, as did the 9♦ turn, and the 4♣ spiked the river to give Baldwin a seven-high straight to eliminate Alati a few spots off the money.
