Horak with a Slip Up

Niveau 30 : 1,200,000/2,400,000, 2,400,000 ante

Felipe Ramos raised to 5.0 million from early position and the action folded to Jiri Horak in the small blind. He tossed in a couple chips as if he were limping in, not realizing Ramos had already raised. Therefore, he was forced to call the raise and the two players went heads-up to the flop.

The dealer fanned the flop of {9-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{3-Spades} and Horak checked to Ramos who continued for 6.5 million. Horak thought for a brief moment but elected to lay his hand down, sending the pot to Ramos.

Jason Koon Eliminated in 10th Place ($42,000)

Niveau 30 : 1,200,000/2,400,000, 2,400,000 ante
Jason Koon
Jason Koon

The action was folded to Jason Koon on the button who raised to 5.2 million. Jonas Gjelstad three-bet to 17.5 million in the small blind and Koon announced all in for around 80 million. Gjelstad snap-called and the cards were tabled.

Jonas Gjelstad: {9-Hearts}{9-Clubs}
Jason Koon: {6-Spades}{6-Diamonds}

The flop came {j-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{2-Spades} and Koon's tournament life was in jeopardy. The turn brought the {9-Spades} giving Gjelstad a set of nines and Koon was drawing dead to the {a-Hearts} on the river.

Ruben Perceval Eliminated in 11th Place ($42,000)

Udo Erlei raised to 4.9 million in the cutoff and Ruben Perceval shipped all in for 32.2 million in the big blind. Erlei asked for a count and then made the call.

Udo Erlei: {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs}
Ruben Perceval: {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}

Perceval was in a dominating position but Erlei flopped the world when the dealer spread the flop of {q-Spades}{9-Clubs}{5-Clubs}. The turn was the {4-Spades} and Perceval was left drawing to an off-suit king. The {5-Diamonds} on the river was no help and Perceval was sent to the rail.

On the first hand of the day, Jonas Gjelstad raised to 5.3 million from the hijack and Michael Malm announced all in for 28.4 million out of the big blind. Gjelstad instantly called and the cards were on their backs.

Jonas Gjelstad: {10-Hearts}{10-Clubs}
Michael Malm: {3-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}

The board ran out {a-Spades}{k-Spades}{2-Hearts}{5-Spades}{9-Spades} and with neither playing holding a spade in their hand, Gjelstad's pair of tens was good enough to eliminate Malm from the competition.

A Winner Will Be Crowned in the $5,300 MILLIONS Main Event

Caribbean Poker Party
Caribbean Poker Party

The final 12 players are scheduled to resume the action at 12:00 P.M. in the $5,300 MILLIONS Main Event at the 2017 Caribbean Poker Party Festival. Sam Greenwood is at the top of the leaderboard again with 193,900,000 chips after a late rally on Day 4 that put him in a great position to make his third straight final table.

Greenwood has had an incredible festival here at the Melia Caribe Tropical resort in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. He started off strong finishing in third place of the $10,300 MILLIONS High Roller, followed up by a second place in the $25,500 MILLIONS Super High Roller. Now he has a commanding chip lead over the rest of the field in the Main Event. The winner of the High Roller event, Preben Stokkan from Norway, is also in contention after bagging up 99,000,000 chips. These two players have battled earlier this week and will surely be geared for one last fight to the finish again today.

A couple other players to keep an eye on will be partypoker's, Jason Koon (93,800,000), who has over $10.3 million in career live tournament earnings. Koon is a regular high-stakes tournament pro from the United States and one of the friendliest faces in the poker community. Brazilian poker pro, Felipe Ramos (77,800,000), has busted onto the tournament scene in the past couple of years, racking up over $1.8 million in tournament winnings. Ramos has been travelling the world playing in as many tournaments as he can this year, saying that he just loves this game so much.

When the players take to the felt, the blinds will resume at 1,200,000/2,400,000 with a button ante of 2,400,000. They will play down to a final table of eight, at which point they will be moved to the feature table for the televised live-stream. The PokerNews coverage will coincide with the live-stream, which will be on a 30-minute delay.
