Sinclair Runs Into Quads

Niveau 5 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

On a {9-Spades}{8-Clubs}{7-Hearts} flop, with around 60,000 in the middle, three players checked. The {J-Clubs} came down on the turn, Piotr Trebacz led out for 30,000, Jack Sinclair called, and the third player in the hand quickly folded.

The river brought the {9-Clubs}, which paired the board and completed the backdoor flush. Trebacz fired again, this time for 110,000. Sinclair thought for a second before dumping his whole stack over the line, enough to set Trebacz in for his last 355,000. After giving it what looked like a few seconds to think about his decision, Trebacz put his chips over the line and Sinclair immediately tabled {q-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} for a straight. Trebacs then showed {9-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} for quads,

"What?!" was all Sinclair managed to vocalise, as he cut out the calling chips. Trebacz pointed to the possible straight flush on board as he dragged in the pot.

Biggest Field So Far

Niveau 5 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

During the break, the total Day 1B entrants rose to over 366 players, which was the final field size for Day 1A.

That number continues to climb, and will no doubt do so until the end of the day.

Barny Boatman Back In Business

Niveau 4 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Barny Boatman

There was around 140,000 in the middle on an {a-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} board, in a hand between Gustavo Mastellotto and Barny Boatman. Mastellotto checked the action over to Boatman, who put in a single blue 100,000-value chip, which seemed to put Mastellotto to a big decision. After a minute or so, he eventually folded and Boatman dragged in the pot.

After busting the MILLIONS Open event in 13th earlier today, Boatman entered the Main Event but got off to a rough start. This pot brought him back to starting stack, just before the break.

Koon vs Klicman

Niveau 4 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

We join the action in a hand between Jason Koon and Daniel Klicman, on a {7-Hearts}{a-Hearts}{6-Spades} flop, with around 100,000 in the middle.

Klicman checked the action to Koon, who put in a 42,000 continuation bet, before calling and heading to the {5-Hearts} turn. Koon continued again when checked to, this time for 58,000, with Klicman calling again.

The river brought the {9-Diamonds}, which Koon bombed for 290,000, eventually getting it through.

Koon has since lost a little, with Klicman having picked up a few chips in the meantime.

Pedro Jose The Hero

Niveau 3 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

There was around 450,000 in the middle on an {a-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} board in a hand between Pedro Jose Idrovo Luque and Koray Aldemir.

Aldemir thought for a moment before moving his entire stack across the line, totalling 450,000 - a pot-sized bet. The dealer tossed him the all-in triangle, as Luque went deep into the tank. After making a face or two, Luque eventually made the call. Aldemir whipped over {6-Clubs}{3-Clubs}, and played the board, while Luque tabled {5-Spades}{3-Spades} for a straight to knock out Aldemir.

Heidorn Shoves the River

Niveau 3 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Robert Heidorn moves all-in
Robert Heidorn moves all-in

After Keith Johnson had opened to 15,000 in early position and the small blind called, Robert Heidorn put in a three-bet to 65,000 in the big blind. Johnson peeled, with the small blind conceding, as the two players took the {3-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{10-Hearts} flop heads up.

Heidorn continued for 50,000, with Johnson calling quickly. The turn brought the {6-Clubs}, on which Heidorn went for a bet of 150,000. Johnson took a little while before making the call. The board paired on the {6-Hearts} river, with Heidorn going for barrel number three, moving all-in for 422,000.

Johnson dwelled for a minute or so, going back and forth between call and fold, before eventually flicking his cards, one at a time, into the muck.
