Haxton's Elimination Brings the Field to Two Tables

Niveau 26 : 200,000/400,000, 400,000 ante
Isaac Haxton
Isaac Haxton

Just a few hands after losing a big pot to Leon Tsoukernik, Chance Kornuth was unable to turn things around as he was ousted from the MILLIONS World event along with Matt Berkey. There were just 17 players remaining, only one away from combining to the final two tables.

Isaac Haxton raised it up from the cutoff and Ben Tollerene called on the button. The two players saw a flop of {9-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} and both checked to the {8-Clubs} on the turn. That is when all of the chips got in the middle but Haxton was disappointed to see the cards. Tollerene turned over {7-Clubs}{6-Clubs} for a straight while Haxton held pocket kings. The {8-Hearts} on the river changed nothing and the field was narrowed down to just two tables.

Isaac Haxton was the last partypoker pro remaining but he will have to settle for a 17th place finish. Meanwhile, Tollerene has amassed a stack of over 72,000,000, three times the average stack in the tournament.

Another Big Pot for Tsoukernik

Niveau 25 : 175,000/350,000, 300,000 ante

Leon Tsoukernik will not be one player to shy away from the action with all of the biggest names in poker, and he is proving he can battle with the best of them today. It also helps when he gets cards. Tsoukernik raised to 1,200,000 from under the gun and Sam Chartier shipped all in for 6,800,000 on his left. Chance Kornuth flat-called in middle position and the action folded back to Tsoukernik who re-shoved all in for 12,150,000. Kornuth quickly called and all of the hands were face up.

Leon Tsoukernik: {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds}
Chance Kornuth: {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}
Sam Chartier: {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}

Tsoukernik was in a great position to double up his stack and take out Chartier. The board ran out {6-Spades}{2-Spades}{2-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{3-Clubs} and Tsoukernik held on for the win. He's been riding the waves of tournament poker for the entire day but that is expected when you are playing a lot of pots.

Tollerene Makes Broadway in a Massive Pot

Niveau 25 : 175,000/350,000, 300,000 ante
Ben Tollerene

The players just recently returned from dinner break but it didn't long for the chips to start flying. Ben Tollerene opened to 700,000 in the cutoff and was called by Leon Tsoukernik on the button and Chance Kornuth in the big blind.

The flop came {q-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{3-Clubs} and the action checked around to the {a-Hearts} on the turn. Kornuth and Tollerene checked again and Tsoukernik bet 2,000,000 this time. Kornuth called and Tollerene check-raised to 7,000,000. Tsoukernik made a quick call and Kornuth got out of the way.

The river was the {2-Spades} and Tollerene announced a bet of 14,000,000. Tsoukernik leaned back in his chair and thought for over a minute, using up a time extension before sliding in a call. Tollerene turned over {k-Spades}{j-Clubs} for a Broadway while Tsoukernik showed {a-Spades}{10-Spades} for two pair. Tsoukernik, who was the chipleader, fell down the leaderboard while Tollerene scooped a massive pot.

Addamo Eliminates Two Before Dinner

Niveau 24 : 150,000/300,000, 300,000 ante
Michael Addamo
Michael Addamo

Michael Addamo has been taking care of business on his table and shrinking the field single-handedly. After just taking out Laszlo Bujtas, Addamo clashed with Preben Stokkan. The two players got all of the chips in the middle preflop and it was Addamo in a great position.

Michael Addamo: {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds}
Preben Stokkan: {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}

The board ran out {10-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{3-Spades}{3-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} and Addamo held to score another knockout. With that, the field has dwindled to just 25 players prior to the dinner break. Noam Yahav and Davidi Kitai were the other players to recently be eliminated.

The player will now be taking a 90-minute dinner break with the action slated to resume around 8:30 p.m.

Eliminations are Fast and Furious

Niveau 24 : 150,000/300,000, 300,000 ante

Since the money bubble burst, the field has quickly dropped 10 players and just 29 remain. Some of the short stacks to recently be eliminated include Timothy Adams, Benjamin Pollak, Ben Yu, Geraldo Cesar, and partypoker pro Joni Jouhkimainen.

The beneficiaries of all of the bustouts appear to be Steve O'Dwyer who has retaken the chip lead, Ben Tollerene who just recently moved to the feature table, and Ajay Chabra who is stamping his place near the top of the leaderboard for the first time.

Katz Eliminated on the Bubble

Niveau 23 : 125,000/250,000, 250,000 ante
Cary Katz bubble

While there was an all-in and a call on the feature table, another big pot was also brewing on an outer table between Matt Berkey and Mike Watson. Berkey opened to 550,000 in middle position and Mike Watson called from the cutoff. The flop came {k-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{2-Spades} and Berkey continued for 1,350,000 which Watson called.

The {a-Diamonds} landed on the turn and both players checked to the {j-Hearts} on the river. Berkey threw in a bet of 2,850,000 and Watson used up a time extension before making the call. Berkey flipped over {q-Spades}{7-Hearts} for a straight and Watson mucked his cards.

Now all of the focus was back on the feature table with Cary Katz all in from the big blind. He was up against Chance Kornuth on the button but would need some help to stay alive. Katz held {5-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} but Kornuth woke up with a monster with {k-Hearts}{k-Clubs}.

The flop came {q-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{6-Spades} which provided no help for Katz as of yet. The {q-Hearts} on the turn meant Katz was looking for one of two remaining fives in the deck. The river brought the {a-Spades} and Katz was unable to improve as he was eliminated on the money bubble. The remaining 39 players are all guaranteed at least a min-cash of $60,000.
