Lynskey Eliminates Koon

Niveau 27 : 250,000/500,000, 500,000 ante
Jason Koon
Jason Koon

An early player opened and got calls from Alex Lynskey in middle position and Jason Koon in the big blind. On the {4-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{9-Spades} flop, Koon checked and the opener bet 1.3 million. Lynskey called and Koon made it 3.5 million. The opener mucked and Lynskey put Koon in for his last 3.8 million, which was quickly called.

Alex Lynskey: {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}
Jason Koon: {5-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}

Koon couldn't be happy to see a couple of outs dead. The {k-Clubs} and {k-Diamonds} on the turn and river didn't help him and he generously shipped his fresh but untouched dinner to another player before heading to payouts.

Alex Lynskey
Alex Lynskey

Alex Lynskey raised in the cutoff and Taylor Black defended big blind. It looked like the flop went check-check and the board read {k-Clubs}{4-Spades}{q-Clubs}{j-Diamonds} on the turn. Black checked and called 1,750,000. On the {10-Spades} river, Black checked and Lynskey fired 4.2 million. Black tanked long enough to use two time extensions then called.

Lynskey showed {a-Spades}{9-Spades} and took it down with Broadway.

Hallaert Soft Bubbles; Markus Pohl Bubbles

Niveau 21 : 80,000/160,000, 160,000 ante
Money bubble of the $5,300 Main Event
Money bubble of the $5,300 Main Event

Kenny Hallaert opened under the gun and got three-bet to 1,050,000 by Filipe Oliveira on his left. Hallaert responded with an all-in shove worth 8,615,000. Oliveira thought a bit and called.

Kenny Hallaert: {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}
Filipe Oliveira: {q-Hearts}{q-Clubs}

The board ran out {6-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}, inching the tournament closer to the money and onto the bubble.

A few hands later, a player opened under the gun and Roman Korenev shoved all in for about 3.3 million. Markus Pohl tanked awhile and then jammed as well on the button for around 2.2 million. After action was completed at other tables and the opener mucked, they revealed {a-Hearts}{a-Spades} and {k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}.

The {q-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{6-Clubs} contained plenty of paint but not what Pohl needed. The {5-Diamonds} missed him as well, and with seemingly half of the players in the room crowded around the table, the {9-Spades} river confirmed the bubble was finished.

The tournament staff led Pohl away for his consolation prize: a Tudor watch.

Welcome to Day 3 of Caribbean Poker Party $5,300 Main Event

Jason Koon
Jason Koon

It's time for a landmark day in the partypoker 2018 Caribbean Poker Party $5,300 Main Event as all of the players remaining in the event will be seated in the same room for the first time.

Out of 1,815 entries, 291 of them remain and most of these players will be paid, 223*** to be exact. That's the first major hurdle that will be leaped here on Day 3 at the Baha Mar as the bubble will most likely burst relatively early in the day.

While many will be eyeing that $10,300 min-cash, though, plenty of others will have their sights set much higher, thinking only of the $1.4 million earmarked for the winner. Jason Koon, Dzmitry Urbanovich, Sam Panzica, Paul Tedeschi, Daniel Strelitz and chip leader Senthuran Vijayaratnam all come in with huge stacks and will be looking to press their advantages further as the bubble nears.

The plan for Day 3, set for a noon restart, is to play 10 levels starting at 60,000/120,000/120,000. There will be a dinner break, presumably for 90 minutes, after the sixth of those levels. The last level scheduled to be played is 300,000/600,000/600,000.

Stick with PokerNews throughout as we bring you live updates in the partypoker style and head on over to partypoker to check out the live stream of the $250K Super High Roller.
