Ciudaras Doubles Through Guilbert

Niveau 28 : 80,000/160,000, 160,000 ante

Johan Guilbert made it 390,000 to go and Karolis Ciudaras then jammed for 1,740,000 in the small blind. After giving it some consideration, Guilbert made the call and it was a flip for the tournament life of Ciudaras.

Karolis Ciudaras: {a-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}
Johan Guilbert: {4-Hearts}{4-Clubs}

The {a-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{5-Clubs} flop improved Ciudaras right way and he retained the lead on the {6-Hearts} turn and {2-Spades} river.

Zorlu Er Eliminated in 14th Place ($14,670)

Niveau 28 : 80,000/160,000, 160,000 ante
Zorlu Er
Zorlu Er

Mantas Nanartavicius won several pots in quick succession with Fahredin Mustafov losing a portion of his stack to the Lithuanian, while everybody else at the table held onto their stack sizes.

Zorlu Er then moved all-in for 1.53 million in the hijack and Nanartavicius called on the button the blinds got out of the way.

Zorlu Er: {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}
Mantas Nanartavicius: {a-Spades}{10-Spades}

The {7-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} flop was not much of a threat and some outs vanished with the {8-Diamonds} turn. However, the {9-Spades} river gave the Lithuanian an unlikely straight and Er finished in 14th place for $14,670.

Stefan Fabian Eliminated in 13th Place ($14,670)

Niveau 28 : 80,000/160,000, 160,000 ante
Stefan Fabian
Stefan Fabian

Georges Hanna made it 350,000 to go from under the gun and Stefan Fabian then jammed the cutoff for around 1.4 million. The stack size was asked upon and Hanna then sigh-called.

Stefan Fabian: {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}
Georges Hanna: {a-Hearts}{2-Hearts}

The {q-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} flop was safe for Fabian but Hanna gained huge equity on the {3-Hearts} turn with the straight flush draw. He indeed got there on the {8-Hearts} river and Fabian was ousted in 13th place for a payday of $14,670.

Macalou Turns a Flush

Niveau 28 : 80,000/160,000, 160,000 ante

Silma Macalou defended the big blind and checked his option on the {j-Spades}{10-Spades}{4-Clubs} flop, then called a bet worth 550,000 by Mantas Nanartavicius in the hijack. They headed to the {k-Spades} turn and both players checked, as did Macalou on the {a-Hearts} river. Nanartavicius checked back and mucked his cards when he was shown {8-Spades}{4-Spades} for a flush by Macalou.

Martirosian Jams Into Nanartavicius

Niveau 28 : 80,000/160,000, 160,000 ante

Artur Martirosian limped in the cutoff and then called a raise to 480,000 by Mantas Nanartavicius on the button. On a flop of {k-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}, Martirosian check-called for 200,000 and the {k-Spades} turn was checked. The {q-Diamonds} fell on the river and Martirosian now jammed for 1,165,000.

Nanartavicius tank-folded and Ionel Anton said "I would bet all my chips that he is playing the board." Martirosian had not sent his cards into the muck yet and exposed the {k-Hearts}. Anton and the Russian then shook hands before Martirosian stacked the chips.

Anton Chips Up; Hanna Jams Into Kataria

Niveau 28 : 80,000/160,000, 160,000 ante

At the very end of the session, Georges Hanna raised to 350,000 and Kush Vinod Kataria three-bet to 1,050,000 in the cutoff. Hanna then jammed and Kataria tank-folded after more than two minutes of consideration.

Over on the other table, Artur Martirosian defended the big blind when Ionel Anton raised to 400,000. Martirosian check-called the {j-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{6-Hearts} flop for 350,000 and led the {8-Spades} turn for 450,000, Anton called. The {2-Hearts} river was checked and Martirosian tabled {10-Hearts}{7-Hearts}, which Anton had beat with the {k-Diamonds}{j-Spades}.

One hand later, Fahredin Mustafov raise-folded an ace-five when Martirosian jammed. "It's the hand of the internet players," the Bulgarian joked. Sure enough, Martirosian also flashed the ace-five as well.
