Triana Won't Stop Betting

Niveau 18 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Since coming back from dinner break, chips have been flying around on both tables, but with the stack sizes, nobody has come close to busting. Jose Triana raised to 17,000 from the hijack and was called by Maria Konnikova in the cutoff and Kevin MacDonald in the big blind.

The flop fell {q-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{4-Hearts} and MacDonald checked to Triana who continued for 19,000. Konnikova folded and MacDonald made the call.

The turn brought the {5-Diamonds} and MacDonald checked again. Triana fired another 48,000 and MacDonald still called. The {4-Diamonds} paired the board on the river and MacDonald checked for the third time. Triana tossed in 75,000 and MacDonald instantly mucked his cards.

Meanwhile, on the other table, Marcos Carneiro Antunes was seen making a hero call against Alexander Ziskin. Ziskin made a bet of 80,000 on the river and Antunes called with just ace-high, which was beating Ziskin's queen-high.

Dinner Break

Niveau 17 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

The remaining 13 players are taking an 80-minute dinner break. Here is how the remaining players stack up:

Rinaldi Leaves the Table Wondering

Niveau 17 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Steven Rinaldi limped in from under the gun and Kevin MacDonald raised to 17,000 from middle position. Maria Konnikova called in the small blind along with Sharman Olshan in the big blind and Rinaldi.

The flop came {10-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{6-Clubs} and the blinds checked to Rinaldi who led out for 20,000. MacDonald let his hand go and was quickly followed by Konnikova. Olshan, however, made the call to see the {10-Diamonds} pair the board on the turn.

Olshan checked again and Rinaldi bet another 40,000. Olshan eyed up her opponent but could not get any type of read off Rinaldi, thus releasing her cards to the muck.

Oliveira Gets 'Rex'ed by Aces

Niveau 17 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Marcos Antunes opened to 14,000 from the hijack and Joao Henrique Oliveira three-bet to 62,000 from the small blind. Rex Clinkscales was waiting in the big blind and four-bet to 133,000. Antunes quickly folded and Oliveira announced that he was all in. Clinkscales couldn't call fast enough and was in a great position to double up.

Rex Clinkscales: {a-Spades}{a-Clubs}
Joao Oliveira: {a-Diamonds}{k-Spades}

"I need a miracle!" Miracle!" Oliveria continued to shout. The flop came {k-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{5-Spades}, giving Oliveira a pair of kings, but he still needed one more. The {10-Diamonds} on the turn provided some chop outs, but the {2-Hearts} on the river sealed his fate and Clinkscales scores a massive double up.

Niveau 17 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante
Aleksandr Nemtcov
Aleksandr Nemtcov

Just as the blinds were going up, Aleksandr Nemtcov was seen walking to the payout desk in 17th place. Nemtcov came into the day as the chip leader and battled through the opening levels with a healthy stack. Unfortunately, the cards didn't fall his way today and that leaves just two tables remaining.

The tournament director has briefly paused the clock to complete a new seat draw and the action will resume shortly.

Antunes and Mash Get in a Raising War

Niveau 16 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

Howard Mash opened to 12,500 from the hijack and Marcos Antunes three-bet to 38,500 in the cutoff. The button and the blinds folded which put the action back on Mash. He splashed in a four-bet to 97,500 only to have Antunes five-bet all in. Mash called and the hands were tabled.

Marcos Antunes: {8-Hearts}{8-Clubs}
Howard Mash: {a-Clubs}{q-Spades}

The board ran out {k-Hearts}{4-Spades}{4-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{k-Spades} and Antunes' two pair, kings and eights, held up to be the winner. After the chips were counted, Antunes had Mash covered by a mere 2,000 chips, sending Mash to the rail in 18th place.

Niveau 16 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante
Chris Moorman
Chris Moorman

The action folded to Chris Moorman in the small blind who raised to 12,500. Dylan Wilkerson was in the big blind and made the call. The dealer fanned the flop of {a-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{5-Clubs} and Moorman led out for 10,000. Wilkerson called to see the {9-Spades} on the turn.

Moorman bet another 27,000 only to have Wilkerson jam all in for 135,000. Moorman crinkled his face and then tossed in chips to call. Wilkerson turned over {a-Hearts}{8-Hearts} for two pair and Moorman showed {a-Spades}{k-Clubs} for a pair and a flush draw. The dealer flipped over the {3-Clubs} on the river and Moorman made a flush to eliminate Wilkerson in 20th place.

Blanco Gets Kicked by Oliveira

Niveau 16 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

Kevin MacDonald raised to 11,000 from the cutoff and Lucas Blanco called on the button. Joao Henrique Oliveira was in the small blind and pushed forward a three-bet to 51,500. MacDonald folded and Blanco shoved all in for around 150,000. Oliveira asked for a quick count and then called.

Blanco would need some help as he tabled {a-Spades}{j-Diamonds} and was up against the {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds} of Oliveira. The board ran out {4-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{2-Spades}{k-Clubs}{a-Hearts} and both players made a pair of aces on the river, but Oliveira's kicker sent Blanco home.
