Streltsou Makes a Straight to Double Up

Niveau 14 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

Andrei Streltsou pushed all in for 67,000 from middle position and the action folded around to Anuj Kwatra in the big blind. Kwatra instantly tossed in a single chip to signify a call and the cards were on their backs.

Andrei Streltsou: {a-Spades}{10-Spades}
Anuj Kwatra: {9-Clubs}{9-Hearts}

The flop came {4-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{2-Clubs} and Streltsou picked up a straight draw to go with his two overcards. The turn landed the {5-Clubs}, giving Streltsou a straight and Kwatra was drawing dead to the {j-Clubs} on the river.

Patryk Slusarek is the Bubble Boy

Niveau 14 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

As players were finishing up their last hand, Patryk Slusarek was seen leaving the tournament area as the dealer called another open seat. Just like that, there are only 39 players remaining and everyone is now in the money. They will all be guaranteed at least $2,900.

Kings are No Good Today, Oliveira Wins Huge Pot

Niveau 13 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante
Joao Oliveira
Joao Oliveira

The action started with a raise from Damien Steel in the cutoff and Joao Henrique Oliveira three-bet to 22,500 out of the small blind. With the action back on Steel, he slid forward a four-bet to 60,000. Oliveira thought for a moment and then announced all in for 223,200, which was instantly met by a call from Steel.

Steel turned over {k-Spades}{k-Diamonds} and Oliveira was left with {a-Spades}{q-Hearts}, needing an ace to keep his tournament life alive.

"Nice hand, nice hand," Oliveira was saying to his opponent before the cards were dealt. However, when the dealer spread the {a-Clubs}{10-Spades}{8-Clubs} flop, it was Oliveira that now held the nicer of the hands.

In what was by far the largest pot of the tournament, Steel was left scratching his head with two cards to come. The turn brought the {7-Hearts} and the river was the {a-Diamonds}. Steel sent the majority of his chips to Oliveira and is now on the short stack as the money bubble looms.

Smith Busts Another One

Niveau 13 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante
Ryan Smith
Ryan Smith

The action folded to Ari Engel on the button who opened to 5,200. Ryan Smith three-bet to 17,500 from the small blind and Alejandro De La Flor Lopez shipped all in for 42,100 out of the big blind. Engel laid his hand down and Smith quickly made the call.

Ryan Smith: {a-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}
Alejandro De La Flor Lopez: {k-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}

Lopez was currently in the lead with his pair of kings but when the flop fell {a-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{6-Spades}, the roles were reversed with Smith spiking an ace. The turn brought the {10-Clubs} and the river was the {9-Clubs}. Lopez's kings were cracked and he was sent to the rail.

Blanco and Moorman Eliminate Opponents

Niveau 13 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

At one table, Sergio Cabrera pushed his short stack into the middle on a flop reading {5-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}. He was quickly called by Lucas Blanco and the cards were tabled. Blanco was out front with {j-Spades}{j-Clubs} against Cabrera's {6-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}.

The {2-Spades} on the turn and the {5-Diamonds} on the river were no help to Cabrera as he was eliminated. Blanco has got himself off to a quick start on Day 2, launching himself into the current chip lead with over 300,000 chips.

Meanwhile, at the table next door, Chris Moorman opened to 5,200 from the cutoff and was called by Damien Steel on the button. Said Nadjem pushed all in for 40,200 out of the big blind and the action was back on Moorman. He thought for a minute and then announced all in himself, forcing Steel out of the pot.

Nadjem turned over {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds} and was well ahead of Moorman's {k-Clubs}{q-Clubs}. The {8-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{2-Spades} did not look promising for Moorman, but the {10-Clubs} on the turn quickly caught his attention as he picked up a flush draw. The dealer burned and turned the {7-Clubs} on the river, completing Moorman's flush and sending Nadjem home with nothing.

Gimbel Gets 'Mash'ed Up

Niveau 12 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

The action folded to Howard Mash on the button who raised to 5,000. Harrison Gimbel defended his big blind and the flop came {10-Hearts}{8-Spades}{5-Clubs}. Gimbel check-called a bet of 4,300 from Mash.

The turn brought the {k-Clubs} and Gimbel checked again. Mash fired another 7,000 bet into the pot and Gimbel still called. The river was the {a-Spades} and Gimbel checked for the third time. Mash slid forward his stack of chips for around 23,000 and Gimbel quickly disposed of his cards.
