Engel Doubles Through Tollerene

Niveau 1 : 100/200, 200 ante
Ari Engel in a previous event
Ari Engel in a previous event

Action folded to Ari Engel on the button and he raised to 600. Dimitar Danchev three-bet to 2,200 out of the small blind and Ben Tollerene then four-bet to 6,400 from the big blind. Engel went into the tank and used one time bank slip before he five-bet to 17,600. Danchev folded in short order, and after some consideration, Tollerene six-bet shoved, putting Engel to a decision for his stack. After doing a quick countdown of his remaining chips, Engel called to put himself at risk.

Tollerene: {A-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}
Engel: {A-Clubs}{K-Spades}

A chop looked probable, but Engel picked up the nut-flush draw on the {8-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{4-Clubs} flop, and the {9-Clubs} on the turn gave him a lock on the pot. After the meaningless {J-Diamonds} fell on the river, the dealer pushed the pot Engel's way.

Quads for Kamhazi

Niveau 1 : 100/200, 200 ante

On a board reading {10-Spades}{7-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{k-Clubs}, Daniel Dvoress led out for 8,000 from the big blind. Jonathan Kamhazi raised to 25,200 on the button and Dvoress called.

Kamhazi turned over two red tens for quads and Dvoress quickly mucked his hand.

Badziakouski Takes from Linde

Niveau 1 : 100/200, 200 ante

There were 11,000 chips in the middle and the board read {K-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} when we got to the table. Mikita Badziakouski checked from middle position and Dylan Linde bet 4,000 from the cutoff. Badziakouski called.

The turn brought the {A-Hearts} and Badziakouski checked. Linde bet 9,000, and after using one time bank slip, Badziakouski called.

The {J-Clubs} fell on the river and Badziakouski checked. Linde checked behind and Badziakouski quickly tabled {K-Spades}{K-Clubs}. His flopped set was good, as Linde tossed his cards into the muck, and Badziakouski took the pot.

Tollerene Making a Comeback

Niveau 1 : 100/200, 200 ante

The board read {q-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{8-Clubs} and the action was on Kevin Hobbs in middle position. Hobbs made a bet of 3,900 into a pot of around 6,500. Ben Tollerene called on the button and Sam Greenwood folded from the big blind.

The river was the {k-Spades} and Hobbs pushed a stack of chips into the middle, more than the 5,300 chips Tollerene had remaining. Tollerene quickly made the call and Hobbs turned over {a-Clubs}{j-Clubs} for the nut flush. However, Tollerene revealed {q-Spades}{8-Spades} for a full house and is starting his comeback after losing a big pot to Ari Engel earlier on.

Hobbs Doubles Through Potashnik

Niveau 2 : 100/200, 200 ante

There was a substantial pot of about 38,000 already brewing and the board read {Q-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{8-Clubs} when we got to the table. Bryan Potashnik checked from the big blind and Kevin Hobbs jammed from the hijack for 29,500. Potashnik had Hobbs covered by a very narrow margin and called.

Hobbs: {K-Spades}{K-Clubs}
Potashnik: {A-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}

Potashnik held top pair, top kicker but found himself trailing Hobbs's overpair. The {8-Diamonds} river changed nothing, so Hobbs took the pot to leave Potashnik with crumbs.

Kamhazi Pulls Off a Bluff

Niveau 2 : 100/200, 200 ante

Jonathan Kamhazi opened to 1,100 from the cutoff and Jonathan Jaffe three-bet to 3,500 out of the big blind. Kamhazi called and the flop came {q-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{9-Clubs}. Jaffe led out for 1,800 and Kamhazi raised to 7,200. Jaffe called and the {q-Diamonds} fell on the turn.

Jaffe checked to Kamhazi who fired another 8,200. Jaffe called just as his time clock reached zero and the {2-Clubs} completed the board.

Jaffe checked again and Kamhazi shipped all in, putting Jaffe at risk for his last 26,700 chips should he make the call. He thought for a brief moment and then slid his cards to the muck. Kamhazi showed the {7-Spades}{7-Diamonds} with a big grin on his face, happily showing the bluff.
