Hands #34-42: Pollak Receives the First Walk

Niveau 16 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante

Hand 34: Byron Kaverman opened the button with {9-Spades}{7-Spades} betting 400,000 and won the pot.

Hand 35: Kaverman fired a bet of 75,000 in the cutoff with {6-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} and Steve O'Dwyer defended his big blind with {k-Hearts}{5-Hearts}. The flop fanned out {8-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} and Kaverman earned the pot with a bet.

Hand 36: We missed this hand due to a graphic on the screen.

Hand 37: O'Dwyer opened to 75,000 on the button with {3-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} and Kaverman defended his big blind with {k-Clubs}{q-Clubs}. The flop came down {7-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{q-Spades} and Kaverman check-called a bet of 60,000 from O'Dwyer.

The {k-Diamonds} fell on the turn and Kaverman checked once more. O'Dwyer checked as well bringing the {2-Spades} on the river.

Kaverman fired a bet of 135,000 and O'Dwyer made the call. Kaverman showed him the bad news and raked in a sizeable pot.

Hand 38: Benjamin Pollak was given a walk.

Hand 39: Pollak open-shoved {a-Spades}{3-Spades} from the small blind and Seidel folded his big blind.

Hand 40: Kaverman raised to 70,000 with {a-Hearts}{9-Hearts} in the cutoff and O'Dwyer shoved from the big blind for 632,000 with {10-Spades}{9-Spades}. Kaverman folded.

Hand 41: We missed this hand because of a segment on the stream with Daniel Negreanu.

Hand 42: Steve O'Dwyer limped the button with {A-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}. Byron Kaverman in the big blind checked {6-Spades}{6-Clubs} and the flop came {2-Spades}{8-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}. Both checked and did so too on the {J-Diamonds} turn and {8-Spades} river. Kaverman took it down.
