O'Dywer Empties the Clip

Niveau 8 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

Daniel Dvoress opened to 11,000 under the gun and Steve O'Dwyer on the button was the sole caller.

Dvoress checked on {10-Clubs}{7-Spades}{8-Clubs} and O'Dywer bet 17,000. Dvoress called.

On the {5-Clubs} turn, Dvoress check-called another 42,000.

As the {9-Spades} completed the board, Dvoress checked a third time. O'Dywer shoved for 154,500 and Dvoress used two time bank cards before he folded his hand.

Kevin Hart raised to 9,000 under the gun and Ben Tollerene, who recently re-entered, called from the button. Daniel Dvoress then three-bet to 45,000 from the small blind.

"Do we have a thing?" Hart asked, referencing the fact that Dvoress had three-bet him in the past. "Do you and I have a thing? Alright, I'm all in."

Tollerene quickly released.

"I guess we have a thing," Dvoress said before calling off for 181,500 total.

Dvoress: {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}
Hart: {q-Spades}{q-Clubs}

"Fair," Dvoress added upon seeing the race situation.

"Fair? No good job, Kevin?" Hart responded.

The dealer then put out the flop — {5-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}.

Dvoress took the lead with a pair of kings, and it won him the double after the {2-Hearts} was run out on the turn followed by the {10-Diamonds} on the river.

"Good job, Kevin," Dvoress said. Hart laughed before counting out the chips.

"I can't lay a better trap than that," he said as he sent them over.

Four Re-Entries and a Newbie

Niveau 7 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Igor Kurganov has jumped into the field for the first time. Meanwhile, four other players have opted to fire a second bullet including 2017 GPI Player of the Year Adrian Mateos.

Mateos, a three-time WSOP bracelet winner, busted his first bullet after shoving for 90,000 with ace-six in the small only to run into the pocket sixes of Scott Seiver. No ace came and Mateos headed for the registration desk.

Sontheimer Busted, Kanit Crippled, Bonomo Surging

Justin Bonomo and Steffen Sontheimer
Justin Bonomo and Steffen Sontheimer

Steffen Sontheimer opened under the gun for 9,000 and Mustapha Kanit in the hijack called. Big blind Justin Bonomo over called to make it three-handed to the flop.

Bonomo checked on {3-Clubs}{J-Clubs}{6-Clubs} and Sontheimer bet 10,000. Kanit called, Bonomo over-called.

With the {3-Spades} on the turn, Bonomo checked again. Sontheimer shoved for 65,500 and Kanit called, leaving himself with about 75,000. Justin Bonomo asked to see how much Kanit was playing behind and moved in over the top after getting visual confirmation it was just 75,000 or so. Kanit reluctantly mucked.

Steffen Sontheimer: {K-Clubs}{J-Hearts}
Justin Bonomo: {A-Clubs}{8-Clubs}

Sontheimer asked for a jack or three but got neither: {10-Spades} on the river.

"They Treat Me Like I'm Nothing Around Here"

Kevin Hart

With 30,000 in the pot and a flop of {6-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{7-Hearts}, Kevin Hart bet 14,000 from the small blind only to have Rainer Kempe raise to 34,000 from the big.

Hart gave Kempe a hard time for pushing back at him, but he called nonetheless.

When the {9-Diamonds} hit the turn, Hart checked and Kempe bet 45,000. Hart then check-raised all in and Kempe, who had 100,000 back, opted to fold.

"I'm not playing with you," Hart joked. "Don't do it no more."

He then added: "They treat me like I'm nothing around here."

If the Hollywood star continues to stack chips, that'll surely change.

Negreanu Takes It on the Turn

Niveau 7 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

With 35,000 in the pot and a flop of {7-Spades}{a-Spades}{5-Diamonds}, Byron Kaverman checked from the big blind and Daniel Negreanu did the same from under the gun.

Seth Davies then bet 10,000 from the button, Kaverman called, and Negreanu popped it to 40,000. Davies folded, Kaverman called, and the dealer burned and turned the {3-Hearts}.

Kaverman checked and Negreanu fired out 80,000. Kaverman hit the tank, used a time extension, and let the clock tick down before mucking his hand.

Badziakouski Spins, Folds After Using 5 Time Bank Cards

Mikita Badziakouski
Mikita Badziakouski

We only picked up the action as the river was already out: {2-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{K-Clubs}{A-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}. Mikita Badziakouski in the small blind checked and big blind Sam Greenwood bet 200,000, more than enough to put Badziakouski all in as he had just 135,000 behind.

Badziakouski used his 30 seconds before he tossed in a time bank card to gain another 30 seconds. He spun in his chair, and tossed in another time bank card when the clock reached zero.

"At one point you're committed," Badziakouski said referencing the amount of time bank cards he used in the hand.

He was clearly in agony, producing loud grunting noises while wildly spinning in his chair.

In the end, Badziakouski used a total of 5 of his 6 time bank cards before he folded his hand.

Greenwood mucked silently while raking in the chips.

Shak Doubles Through Sontheimer

Dan Shak
Dan Shak

We missed the action on the {10-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{7-Hearts} flop, but we do know that Dan Shak got his stack of 93,500 all in and was at risk against Poker Masters champ Steffen Sontheimer.

Sontheimer: {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}
Shak: {7-Spades}{6-Hearts}

Shak was in the lead with two pair, but the {8-Diamonds} turn made things interesting by giving Sontheimer a flush draw.

Fortunately for Shak, the {2-Spades} river was inconsequential and he shipped the double.

Seidel Busts Peters

Niveau 7 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Erik Seidel in the hijack opened for 9,000 before David Peters three-bet to 25,000 from the button. The blinds both folded and Seidel moved all in. Peters called for 115,000 right away.

Erik Seidel: {A-Spades}{A-Clubs}
David Peters: {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}

The board ran out {4-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} and Peters exited the tournament area.
