It was a flip, but Petrangelo, who on Friday night won the PokerStars Championship Player of the Year SnG for $100K, had to improve to keep his first-ever PCA $100K SHR cash hopes alive.
The 
flop didn't do him any favors, and neither did the turn. Petrangelo needed to spike the river to survive, but it was not meant to be as the

Daniel Negreanu was first to act and opened. It folded to Dan Shak in the big blind and he three-bet to 87,000. Negreanu called in position.

Shak left the tournament floor as Negreanu started stacking towers of chips worth a combined 1.25 million.
