Bicknell Spikes the Turn

Niveau 23 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante
Kristen Bicknell
Kristen Bicknell

Talal Shakerchi raised it up to 65,000 in the cutoff and Kristen Bicknell pushed all in for 505,000 out of the small blind. Shakerchi asked for a quick count and then flicked in a chip to call.

Kristen Bicknell: {a-Spades}{10-Spades}
Talal Shakerchi: {a-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}

Bicknell was in a dominated position but was still hopeful of getting her chips back. "Chop?" she asked politely.

The flop came {k-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} and Shakerchi still held a commanding lead. However, the {10-Clubs} on the turn gave Bicknell exactly what she was looking for with a pair of tens. The {3-Spades} on the river secured the double up for Bicknell in order to stay alive.

Both checked the {9-Spades}, bringing a {9-Clubs}. Rettenmaier checked and Liang bet 100,000. Rettenmaier didn't seem thrilled but he called after about 20 seconds.

Liang showed {q-Spades}{q-Clubs} but was beaten by {a-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}.

Baumstein Scores a Big Double

Niveau 23 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

A raising war broke out between Scott Baumstein in the cutoff and Farid Jattin in the big blind. Baumstein opened the action with a raise to 75,000 and Jattin made it 320,000 to go. Baumstein then four-bet to 755,000 and called the shove of Jattin to create the biggest single pot of the tournament so far.

Scott Baumstein: {Q-Spades}{Q-Hearts}
Farid Jattin: {A-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}

The most classic coinflip went in favor of Baumstein on a board of {5-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{Q-Clubs} and he doubled for 1,985,000, sending Jattin below the average.

Max Greenwood

All three Greenwood brothers cashed in the event, however, none of them will lift the trophy in two days as Max Greenwood has become the latest casualty.

The cards were already on their backs with Greenwood at risk from the button for around 600,000, Mikita Badziakouski in the big blind was his opponent.

Max Greenwood: {A-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}
Mikita Badziakouski: {A-Hearts}{K-Hearts}

The board came {10-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{A-Clubs} and the kicker played to send the last Greenwood to the rail.

Johnson Spikes a Lucky Double

Niveau 23 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Sosia Jiang three-bet all in for 555,000 and claimed the initial raise and blinds.

One hand later it was Chris Johnson that shoved for 245,000 and Ramon Colillas called on the button.

Chris Johnson: {3-Hearts}{3-Clubs}
Ramon Colillas: {A-Diamonds}{A-Hearts}

Johnson was in dire need of help and got there thanks to a board of {7-Clubs}{3-Spades}{2-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{8-Clubs}, providing a trey on the flop and a winning flush on the river.

Baumstein Gets the Better of Jattin

Niveau 23 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Scott Baumstein opened to 75,000 from the cutoff and Farid Jattin defended from the big blind. The flop came {q-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} and Jattin checked to Baumstein who continued for 90,000. Jattin check-raised to 285,000 but Baumstein still called.

The turn brought the {k-Spades} which slowed the action as both players knuckled the table and the {j-Hearts} completed the board. Jattin checked again and Baumstein fired out a bet of 335,000. Jattin wasted little time before letting his hand go and Baumstein collected the pot.

Sam Greenwood Eliminated

Niveau 23 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Sam Greenwood moved all in under the gun for 325,000 and Julien Martini called on his left. Everyone else folded.

Sam Greenwood: {j-Clubs}{10-Clubs}
Julien Martini: {a-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}

The {5-Spades}{4-Clubs}{2-Spades} did nothing for Greenwood but the {10-Spades} made him a favorite to double on the turn. However, the river was the {a-Hearts} and Greenwood hit the rail.

Marsh Jams Into Duta

Niveau 23 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Until the river of a completed board of {8-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{3-Spades}{6-Hearts}{K-Spades}, a pot of around 700,000 emerged and Luke Marsh checked his option over to Florian Duta. The latter bet 385,000 and Marsh used one time bank extension before announcing all in.

Duta was thrown back almost immediately and sighed, then counted his remaining stack. After using two time bank extensions, he shook his head and sent the cards into the muck.

The Three Brothers Greenwood Make the Money in the PSPC

Niveau 23 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

It wasn't a mistake: There were three Greenwoods in the counts. And eventually, the same three Greenwoods will appear in the payouts.

The brothers Greenwood - Sam, Luc and Max - have all had high levels of success in poker, combining for $16.7 million in live cashes between them. While Sam and Luke continue on the full-time grind though, Max has mostly left the game behind for the past 2.5 years.

Here in the $25,000 buy-in PokerStars No-Limit Hold’em Players Championship, the three are reunited for a rare tournament, and the family is putting together a solid run. Find out what they had to say about it here on the PokerNews homepage.
