Sousa Eliminated by Padilha

Niveau 25 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

Rui Sousa never recovered from the early setback and has become the next casualty. After his previous double up, Sousa faced the open raise to 125,000 by Martins Adeniya and moved all in for 395,000 on the button. Pedro Padilha reraised all in over the top from the small blind and that forced out Adeniya.

Rui Sousa: {K-Spades}{J-Clubs}
Pedro Padilha: {A-Spades}{K-Hearts}

The board came {Q-Spades}{J-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}{A-Hearts} and that spelled the end for the Portuguese in 33rd place.

Badziakouski Busts to Rivera

Niveau 25 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
Mikita Badziakouski
Mikita Badziakouski

Mikita Badziakouski raised to 400,000 with very few chips behind and claimed the blinds and antes. The next hand he did so again for 500,000 with 60,000 behind and Marc Rivera moved all in from the small blind, Badziakouski called it off.

Mikita Badziakouski: {A-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}
Marc Rivera: {A-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}

Rivera was trailing preflop, but got there on the turn of a board {K-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{6-Spades} to send Badziakouski to the rail. Both players earned their Platinum Passes, though, there is a massive gap in tournament earnings between them. Rivera still has a shot at claiming the $5.1 million top prize here at the Atlantis resort.

Schwartz Receives a Double Up

Niveau 25 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

Dan O'Brien opened to 110,000 with {a-Hearts}{q-Clubs} and Jake Schwartz shipped all in for 1,215,000 from the small blind with {a-Clubs}{k-Spades}. Filipe Oliveira looked down at {j-Hearts}{j-Clubs} in the big blind and also moved all in which prompted a quick fold from O'Brien.

Schwartz was the player at risk and would take the lead on the {a-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} flop. The turn was the {3-Spades} and the river was the {9-Spades} as once again, the winning hand was folded and Schwartz was the beneficiary of the double up.

Jattin Doubles Through Badziakouski

Niveau 25 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

After an early open to 110,000, which Farid Jattin called in the cutoff, Mikita Badziakouski shoved all in covering both players on the button. Action folded back to Jattin, who moved in as well.

Farid Jattin: {9-Hearts}{9-Clubs}
Mikita Badziakouski: {a-Spades}{q-Diamonds}

Bad news arrived in the window for Jattin as {q-Hearts}{2-Spades}{10-Clubs} flopped. However, the {9-Diamonds} turn had him sticking his chips in to be counted for a double. He had 1,285,000, leaving Badziakouski on life support under 10 bigs.

Yiannis Liperis opened for 110,000 or so and called a shove of Evan Mathis, who had only 425,000 on his left.

Yiannis Liperis: {q-Spades}{8-Spades}
Evan Mathis: {a-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}

The {10-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{3-Spades} left Mathis in need of help. The former NFL player found none on the {10-Clubs} turn or {k-Diamonds} river.

Oliveira Finds a Fortunate Double

Niveau 25 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

Jake Schwartz raised to 105,000 from under the gun with {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds} and Filipe Oliveira three-bet shoved all in for 715,000 on his left with {a-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}. Griffin Benger woke up with {q-Hearts}{q-Diamonds} in the cutoff and re-shoved for 1,935,000. The action folded back to Schwartz who gave up his cards after giving it some deliberation.

The flop came {a-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{8-Clubs} to give Oliveira the best hand despite being a huge underdog. The turn was the {10-Hearts} and the river brought the {10-Diamonds} as Oliveira scored himself a double up.

Boutin Sends Gregg to the Rail

Tony Gregg
Tony Gregg

Florian Duta raised to 100,000 and Tony Gregg moved all in for 780,000 out of the cutoff. Louis Boutin on the button went all in over the top and Duta sent his cards into the muck.

Tony Gregg: {7-Spades}{7-Hearts}
Louis Boutin: {A-Clubs}{K-Hearts}

It was a classic flip and Boutin took the lead on the {A-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{4-Clubs} flop. Neither the {3-Spades} on the turn nor the {2-Diamonds} on the river provided any help and Gregg became the next early casualty on Day 4.

Benger Earns a Small Pot

Niveau 25 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

Dan O'Brien opened from under the gun with {10-Spades}{8-Spades} and Griffin Benger defended from the big blind with {j-Clubs}{8-Hearts}. The flop came {q-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{4-Hearts} and both players checked to the {6-Spades} on the turn.

Benger checked again and then called when O'Brien bet 80,000. The river was the {k-Diamonds} and both players knuckled the table. Benger was able to take down the pot with the better kicker in the first hand with post-flop action at the feature table.

Sousa Left Short; Faria Doubles

Niveau 25 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

At almost the same time on neighboring feature tables, two Portuguese were involved in the action.

First up it was Rui Sousa that limped first to act, Martins Adeniya called in the small blind and Marvin Rettenmaier jammed out of the big blind for 580,000. Sousa moved all in over the top and Adeniya folded.

Marvin Rettenmaier: {A-Clubs}{9-Clubs}
Rui Sousa: {10-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}

The board came {A-Spades}{J-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{K-Spades}{9-Diamonds} and Rettenmaier doubled with two pair.

One table over, Louis Boutin open-shoved the small blind and Luis Faria called for 1,105,000.

Faria had the {A-Hearts}{K-Clubs} and Boutin tabled {Q-Clubs}{J-Spades}. The board came {9-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{5-Clubs} and Faria had reason to celebrate.
