Bonomo Claims the Lead

Niveau 14 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Steffen Sontheimer opened to 50,000 in the cutoff and Justin Bonomo defended from the big blind. The flop came {10-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{4-Hearts} and Bonomo check-called a bet of 65,000 from Sontheimer.

The turn was the {5-Diamonds} and Bonomo opted to lead out for 50,000 this time. Sontheimer called and the {a-Spades} completed the board. Bonomo checked again and then snap-called when Sontheimer bet 225,000. Bonomo revealed {a-Clubs}{6-Spades} before Sontheimer's cards went flying into the muck.

Badziakouski Eliminated on the Bubble

Niveau 14 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Mikita Badziakouski let himself get blinded down to just four big blinds and moved all in for 86,000 in the hijack. Unfortunately for him, he ran into Igor Kurganov on the button who's been running hot and picking up cards.

Igor Kurganov: {k-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}
Mikita Badziakouski: {7-Spades}{7-Diamonds}

Kurganov was way in front with his pocket kings and the board of {8-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{9-Spades}{6-Spades} provided a little sweat but Kurganov held on to eliminate Badziakouski on the bubble. The remaining six players are all guaranteed at least $79,000.

Sontheimer Eliminates Hecklen

Niveau 14 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

The action folded around to Steffen Sontheimer who raised it up on the button. Henrik Hecklen was in the big blind and the two players got in a preflop raising war. By the end, Hecklen was all in for around 535,000 and the cards were face up.

Steffen Sontheimer: {q-Hearts}{q-Clubs}
Henrik Hecklen: {2-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}

The flop of {9-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} left Sontheimer well out front with his pocket queens. The {j-Hearts} on the turn and the {8-Clubs} on the river changed nothing as Hecklen hit the rail before the money.

Sontheimer Wins the Battle of the Blinds

Niveau 13 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

The action folded to Jesus Cortes in the small blind who just limped in and Steffen Sontheimer checked his option. The flop came {a-Spades}{k-Hearts}{j-Hearts} and Cortes check-called a bet of 20,000 from Sontheimer.

The turn was the {6-Spades} and Cortes checked again. Sontheimer dropped in a bet of 65,000 and Cortes still called. The river was the {q-Diamonds} and both players quickly checked. Cortes showed {k-Spades}{3-Diamonds} but Sontheimer held {a-Hearts}{4-Hearts} to drag the pot.

Niveau 13 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

David Peters raised to 32,000 from under the gun and Henrik Hecklen defended from the big blind. The flop came {9-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{3-Hearts} and Hecklen check-called a bet of 22,000 from Peters.

The turn brought the {a-Clubs} and both players knuckled the table. The {q-Hearts} on the river put four hearts on the board and Hecklen led out for 40,000. Peters raised to 125,000 and Hecklen eventually let his cards go.

Pablo Cabrera: {8-Clubs}{8-Hearts}
Steffen Sontheimer: {a-Spades}{k-Clubs}

The board ran out {10-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds} for Sontheimer to hit two pair to eliminate Cabrera in ninth place.
