Welcome to Day 1 of the $25,000 PokerStars Caribbean Adventure High Roller at the beautiful Baha Mar Resort. Cards will be in the air at 2 p.m. local time.
Last week, Justin Bonomo outlasted a field of 140 players in the $25,000 8-Handed event for $574,529 after defeating Rui Ferreira heads-up. That extended his lead on the all-time money list and he now has a sizable $59.5 million in live tournament earnings according to Hendon Mob.
This event is poised to be even bigger as players look for something new to register after being eliminated from the PSPC. This two-day event will start with blinds at 100/200 with a 200 big blind ante and levels will be 60-minutes in length. The starting stack will be 50,000 chips and late registration will remain open until the start of Day 2. This is a single reentry tournament and players will receive four time bank cards for each entry. Players will receive an extra time bank card at beginning of each level.
A total of ten levels will be played on Day 1 with a 20-minute break every two levels including a 75-minute dinner break after Level 6.
