No More Stammen-a

Niveau 14 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Igor Kurganov raised to 8,000 from middle position and Keven Stammen moved all in for his remaining 27,000, also in middle position. Andrew Chen was in the small blind and called. Kurganov got out of the way and the hands were tabled.

Chen: {a-Spades}{k-Clubs}
Stammen: {k-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}

The flop came {a-Hearts}{9-Spades}{8-Clubs} and Chen took an even bigger lead with a pair of aces.

The turn was the {4-Hearts} and Stammen was drawing dead to the {3-Hearts} on the river, sending him to the rail.

Bernard Lee Eliminated by Daniel Dvoress

Niveau 14 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Daniel Dvoress was under the gun and raised to 8,000. Bernard Lee was in the hijack and moved all in for his remaining 79,000. Action came back around to Dvoress and he went into the tank. After a while he decided to call.

Dvoress: {9-Spades}{9-Diamonds}
Lee: {j-Spades}{j-Hearts}

Dvoress was well behind and needed to hit a nine to jump in the lead. The flop of {k-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{2-Hearts} came down and gave him what he needed. Lee began to stand up and pack his things, shaking his head in disappointment.

The turn was the {8-Spades} and the river was the {q-Hearts}, sending Lee home.

Zinno Doubles Through Khoroshenin

Niveau 14 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

The slide of Oleksii Khoroshenin continues, as he just doubled up Anthony Zinno. We didn't see how it went down, but Zinno was all in for his last 40,000 or so out of the big blind on a board of {3-Hearts}{6-Spades}{j-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}. He had {j-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} and was leading Khoroshenin, who was in the cutoff with {6-}{4-}. Khoroshenin had some outs but missed on the river, which was a {q-Hearts}.

Vogelsang Eliminated; Sam Greenwood Takes the Lead

Christoph Vogelsang
Christoph Vogelsang

Action folded around to Sam Greenwood in the small blind and he opted to limp in. Christoph Vogelsang was in the big blind and raised to 10,000. Greenwood called.

The flop came {a-Hearts}{10-Spades}{9-Spades}. Greenwood checked, and Vogelsang bet 8,000. Greenwood called.

The turn was the {8-Spades}. Greenwood checked for a second time, and Vogelsang paused for a whole minute and then bet 25,000. Greenwood went into the tank and after a while he decided to move all in. Vogelsang stood up, counted his stack out and called.

Greenwood: {j-Spades}{5-Spades}
Vogelsang: {6-Hearts}{7-Clubs}

The turn hit both players, giving Vogelsang a straight but giving Greenwood a flush. The river was the insignificant {2-Diamonds} and Greenwood eliminated Vogelsang, taking over the chip lead in this tournament.

De Silva Doubles Through Bonomo Again

Niveau 13 : 1,500/3,000, 400 ante

Upeshka De Silva had lost most of the chips he gained from doubling through Justin Bonomo earlier, but he just repeated the feat. This time, he jammed for 48,000 over a Bonomo open with {7-Clubs}{7-Spades} and got called by a hand he was happy to see: {6-Hearts}{6-Spades}. The board ran out {q-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}, enabling De Silva to survive after dodging the flush draw.
