Niveau 7 : 400/800, 0 ante

On the three-way flop of {7-Hearts}{4-Spades}{2-Hearts}, Vladimir Troyanovskiy bet 4,500 from the cutoff and Oliver Weis raised the pot for most of his stack. Martin Kozlov folded from one seat over and Troyanovskiy reraised, with Weis calling all in for his tournament life.

Vladimir Troyanovskiy: {A-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}

The {Q-Spades} turn gave Troyanovskiy two pair, but Weis hit the {9-Spades} river to improve to a flush and double for 24,700.

More and more players are dropping out of the Main Event and among them were Martin Kozlov and Isaac Haxton, who joined the Pot-Limit Omaha event at the start of the new level. Kozlov's favourite game is Omaha, though the Australian won a Bracelet at the 2016 World Series of Poker in the 6-Max $10,000 No Limit Hold'em Championship.

Anson Tsang had busted the Omaha Event before the break still and may still opt to fire a second bullet.

Second Break for Day 1

Niveau 6 : 300/600, 0 ante

Level six has come to an end, and this means the players have been sent into their second 15-minute break of the day. After another two levels, there will be a dinner break for 60 minutes and tournament staff has already confirmed that just 12 instead of the scheduled 13 levels will be played today.

During the current break, the green T-25 chips will be raced off, as they are no longer needed.

Zhao Missing; Li Among Chip Leaders

Niveau 6 : 300/600, 0 ante

Wei Zhao is no longer in his seat and the tournament ticket of the Chinese was waiting at a desk nearby, confirming the elimination of Zhao.

Towards the end of the level, Shuo Li scooped yet another pot to further build his stack and he almost reached the heights of fellow countryman and HK$206,000 Single-Day High Roller champion Quan Zhou. The two of them were in a hand with Maksim Shuts and Li bet the {Q-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} flop for 2,600 from the cutoff. Zhou folded, but Shuts called out of the big blind.

On the {J-Clubs} turn, Shuts checked again and then folded to another bet of Li.

Lau Back in Action

Niveau 6 : 300/600, 0 ante

Ka Kwan Lau was the third player to fire a second bullet after running out of chips in the first attempt and he found a new home over on table one on the feature stage. Picking up the action on the {K-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{5-Clubs} flop, Hok Lee bet 2,500 in the cutoff and Lau called from one seat over on the button.

The {10-Hearts} turn triggered checks by both players, before the {4-Clubs} river saw Lee check and Lau bet 6,600. Lee glanced at his cards again and folded.

Zhao and Shuts Shove

Niveau 6 : 300/600, 0 ante

Kenneth Wong raised it up to 2,100 and short stack Wei Zhao three-bet to 6,600 out of the big blind. Wong asked for the stack of his opponent before calling and the flop fell {9-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}. Zhao instantly moved all in for 6,550 and Wong shook his head, then tossed the cards into the muck.

One table over, Maksim Shuts and Michael Song were at it and both players entered late not long ago. On the {Q-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{3-Hearts} flop, Shuts checked out of the blinds and Song bet 2,000. Shuts check-raised to 6,500 and was called. On the {6-Clubs} turn, Shuts bet 11,000 and Song called before the Belorussian formed a triangle with his hands after the {3-Spades} river completed the board.

The shove was for well over 30,000, which had Song covered, and that won the pot uncontested.

Two Leave, Two Other Arrives

Niveau 6 : 300/600, 0 ante

The bad news for Jussi Nevanlinna is that he was eliminated in the Main Event. However, the Finn can make up for that loss in the Pot-Limit Omaha High Roller and it is also one of Nevanlinna's favourite game types as well.

Soon after, Maksim Shuts also registered to make it 28 entries in total, while Ka Kwan Lau and Jiwei Deng were eliminated.

Geisel Doubles Through Lau

Niveau 6 : 300/600, 0 ante
Fabian Geisel
Fabian Geisel

In a three-bet pot preflop, Ka Kwan Lau on the button and Fabian Geisel in the small blind headed to the flop of {10-Spades}{7-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} and the German continued with a pot-sized bet, which Lau called. On the {2-Clubs} turn, Geisel bet 15,000 into a pot of 30,4000 and Lau called before Geisel then checked the {K-Spades} on the river.

Lau took less than a minute before moving all in and Geisel double-checked his cards to ensure he had it before quickly calling. Geisel turned over the {K-Clubs}{K-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{5-Spades} for a full house and Lau instantly tossed his cards right into the muck, then paid off the 23,600 of Geisel.
