Just five players remain in contention, and O'Dwyer is foremost among them with a stack of 1,849,000. He won a big flip against rival Anthony Zinno at the end of Day 2 with sevens holding against king-jack to get to this position.
Of course, given that this is a $10K, he's got some stiff competition remaining, players who have experienced big success in the world of tournament poker. Here's how the table will be laid out:

PokerStars Team Pro Felipe Ramos is the shortest stack and will have only about 13 big blinds as the players sit down to play Level 21 (10,000/20,000/3,000). Otherwise, the players are fairly deep, and it wouldn't be a big surprise if there was a lengthy Day 3 on the docket with plenty of back-and-forth battling.
They're playing for $274,740 that's earmarked to the winner, along with a trophy and the right call oneself a high roller champion. Cards begin flying at 2 p.m. local time, per player request at the end of Day 2, so stay tuned to see who will claim the lion's share of the prize money.
Team PokerStars Pro Felipe Ramos moved all in for 183,000 from the cutoff and Francois Billard called from the small blind. The cards were turned up and the cooler exposed.

Billard:
Ramos was looking for a king to survive, but none came as the board instead ran out a dry .
Chris Hunichen raised to 65,000 and Sam Greenwood three-bet from the button to 180,000. After thinking a couple of minutes, Hunichen put in 390,000. Greenwood called. The flop came , and Hunichen bet 175,000 after getting a count of Greenwood's stack. The Canadian again called. On the turn, Hunichen slowed down with a check. Greenwood bet 200,000 and got a quick call. Both checked the , and Hunichen rolled over . Greenwood had outflopped him with , though.
Chris Hunichen raised to 125,000 from the button and made a quick call when Francois Billard moved all in for 950,000 from the big blind.
Hunichen:
Billard:
It was a big flip, but Hunichen was the one looking to hold. He did so on the flop as well as the turn, which prompted him to let loose, "Fade it."
The dealer burned one last time and put out the , which paired Billard and drove a dagger through Hunichen's heart.
Hunichen was lest with 70,000 and wound up folding the next hand. In the hand after that, he had 50,000 in the big blind and called off the 10,000 he had behind after Sam Greenwood had raised to 100,000 from under the gun.
Hunichen:
Greenwood:
Sadly, it would be another river card that would do in Hunichen as the board ran out [3d8c9h3h10] to give Greenwood a straight.
Steve O'Dwyer raised to button to 115,000 and Francois Billard three-bet to 285,000 from the big blind. O'Dwyer thought for a bit, asked how much his opponent was playing behind, and then announced himself all in. Billard tossed in a single chip to indicate he was calling off for roughly 1.6 million.
O'Dwyer:
Billard:
The biggest pot of the tournament thus far was a flip, but Billard needed to improve to stay alive. Unfortunately for him, that didn't happen as the board ran out .
Steve O'Dwyer raised on the button to 110,000 and snap-called when Sam Greenwood shoved all in for about 1.3 million.
O'Dwyer:
Greenwood:
Greenwood was happy to see he was flipping, and the flop was a good one for him. The turn was not so good as the made it so O'Dwyer would win if a six or eight fell. Instead, Greenwood improved to a full house with the .
Steve O'Dwyer raised to 130,000, and Sam Greenwood called. On the flop, O'Dwyer bet 140,000. Greenwood put in a check-raise to 400,000, and O'Dwyer thought a couple of minutes before moving all in. Greenwood quickly called for about 1.1 million.
O'Dwyer:
Greenwood:
"You've got a lot of outs," Greenwood said with a smile.
One arrived right away: the , pairing O'Dwyer and leaving Greenwood in need of help on fifth street. It wouldn't arrive as a hit, meaning O'Dwyer is the winner of the PokerStars Championship Panama $10,300 High Roller.
