Overbet Sends Hunichen Tanking

Niveau 16 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Big blind Sam Greenwood mashed in a monstrous bet on the end in a pot against Chris Hunichen, piling in 150,000, which looked to be over double the size of the pot. The board had run out {q-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{9-Spades}, and Hunichen went deep into the tank in the cutoff.

"Why so much?" he asked.

Greenwood remained silent — it was unclear if he even heard Hunichen as he had headphones on.

"All right," Hunichen finally said a few minutes later, sliding his cards to the muck. "Show one."

Greenwood moved to muck and the dealer began sweeping in his cards, but they were still a bit visible on the edge of the deck. Someone urged Greenwood to show one, and he reached into the deck and grabbed the {q-Spades} as the dealer crunched the cards together. It was unclear if that was even Greenwood's card, and the other players at the table joked that he should get a penalty.

Aido Mucks in Frustration

Niveau 16 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Sergio Aido bet 32,000 out of the big blind on a board of {9-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{9-Spades}{4-Clubs}. Francois Evard called him from the cutoff, and the board paired again with the {4-Spades}. Aido bet what looked like 80,000, and Evard immediately shoved for about 190,000. Aido appeared frustrated and was ready to flash his cards but then winged them into the muck.

"Eights?" Andrew Chen asked him.

Been Can't Win a Flip

Niveau 16 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Pedro Idrovo jammed first to act for 120,500. Action folded to Aaron Been, who called in the big blind.

Idrovo: {7-Hearts}{7-Spades}
Been: {a-Spades}{q-Diamonds}

The flop came {7-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}, giving Idrovo a near-lock. The {4-Clubs} turn sealed it for him.

The next hand, action folded to Felipe Ramos, who raised to 14,000 on the button. Been counted out his stack then moved all in for 87,500. Ramos called.

Ramos: {a-Hearts}{10-Clubs}
Been: {2-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}

The coin flip gods were again unkind to Been, as Ramos flopped a ten to eliminate Been.

"Bink"

Niveau 16 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante
Chris Hunichen
Chris Hunichen

After Sam Greenwood had opened for 15,000 from the hijack and Chris Hunichen three-bet to 46,000 from the small blind, Jean Ferreira four-bet to 80,000 from the big. Greenwood got out of the way, but Hunichen five-bet all in for 221,000, which Ferreira called.

Ferreira: {q-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}
Hunichen: {a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}

It was a race, but Hunichen needed to improve to stay alive. He failed to do so on the {10-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} flop, and the {6-Hearts} turn was a blank.

Hunichen needed either an ace or king on the river to survive, and he got the latter when the {K-Spades} spiked.

"Bink," a happy Hunichen said.

Damian Salas Doubles

Niveau 16 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Francois Evard raised to 15,000 under the gun and then called when Damian Salas three-bet all in for roughly 100,000 from the cutoff.

Salas: {j-Diamonds}{j-Spades}
Evard: {a-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}

The board ran out {k-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} and the jacks of Salas held.

Billard Eliminates Kenney

Niveau 15 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante
Felipe Ramos (L) and Bryn Kenney
Felipe Ramos (L) and Bryn Kenney

The dance had gotten aggressive between Sergey Lebedev, Francois Billard and Bryn Kenney. Those three were making it a habit to come after each other's preflop raises, and things were no different when Lebedev opened for 11,500 in the cutoff. Billard made it 31,000 in the next seat, and Kenney shoved all in from the small blind. Lebedev folded after some thought, and Billard called for what looked like about 100,000.

Billard: {j-Hearts}{j-Clubs}
Kenney: {10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}

It was a rough spot for the high roller expert, and the board blanked out with {8-Spades}{5-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} to eliminate him.

Zinno Ships On O'Dwyer

Niveau 15 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

Steve O'Dwyer raised to 11,000 on the button, and Anthony Zinno made it 40,000 in the big blind. O'Dwyer called, and the two saw a {k-Spades}{2-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} flop. O'Dwyer bet 23,000 when Zinno checked, and Zinno responded by shoving all in for about 160,000. O'Dwyer wasted no time and mucked.

One for Big Huni

Niveau 15 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

Chris Hunichen raised to 12,000 under the gun and Jean Ferreira, who was next to act, popped it to 28,000. Action folded back to Hunichen and he called to see a {4-Clubs}{a-Spades}{8-Clubs} flop.

Hunichen check-called a bet of 20,000 and then action went check-check on the {3-Diamonds} turn. When the {4-Hearts} completed the board on the river, Hunichen led out for 55,000 and that did the trick as Ferreira released.

Chen's Check-Raise Fails

Niveau 15 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

Andrew Chen opened under the gun for 12,000 and called a three-bet from Francois Evard on his immediate left to 28,000. Chen checked the {2-Spades}{9-Clubs}{8-Clubs} flop, and Evard bet 36,000. Chen slid in what looked like 102,000. Evard responded with an all-in shove moments later, and Chen quickly mucked after double-checking his holding.
