While Daniel Negreanu has been struggling, another PokerStars Team Pro is thriving after the dinner break. Igor Kurganov more than doubled and just now knocked out Justin Bonomo.

Aliaksei Boika raised to 8,000 and Bonomo shoved for 69,500 from the cutoff. Kurganov reshoved out of the big blind and Boika folded.

On a heads-up flop of , Julian Thomas checked out of the small blind and Pavel Plesuv bet 16,000. Thomas check-raised to 55,000 and Plesuv called. Both checked the on the turn and Thomas then shoved the river. Plesuv had around 180,000 left and eventually folded.

Yurasov Takes Down Negreanu

Dmitry Yurasov has claimed another victim and this time, it was none other than Daniel Negreanu who fell to the Russian prodigy. Negreanu had opened to 9,000 in early position and Yurasov three-bet to 32,000 from the big blind. Negreanu went all in and Yurasov called directly to put Negreanu at risk.

Julian Thomas opened the action with a raise to 10,000 and John Juanda called from one seat over in the hijack. Jason Mercier in the cutoff moved all in for 89,500 and Thomas asked for a count, then moved all in over the top. Juanda briefly flashed his cards and mucked and Mercier was at risk with the inferior pocket pair.

After a raise and a call preflop, [Removed:17] bet the flop for 15,000 in the small blind and Charlie Carrel called in the big blind. The fell on the turn and Yan bet 55,000, Carrel folded.

One hand later, Carrel raised to 16,000 in the small blind and Alain Goldberg shoved the big blind for 120,000. Carrel folded and soon after Goldberg raised to 12,000, then called a three-bet to 37,000 by Josip Simunic.

The flop came and Goldberg shoved for 37,000, Simunic folded with the words "ace-king suited no good."
