Niveau 16 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante
Julian Stuer
Julian Stuer

Charlie Carrel raised to 13,000 in early position, Julian Stuer three-bet to 48,000 in late position, Carrel four-bet to 110,000 and Stuer called. Both players checked the {K-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{2-Hearts} flop. Carrel bet 75,000 on the {9-Hearts} turn and Stuer called.

The river was the {5-Clubs} and Carrel quickly checked. Stuer took around twenty seconds before announcing all-in for his remaining 95,000. Carrel couldn't find a call and folded his hand.

Pots for Muehloecker and Gomez Zapatero

Niveau 16 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Murad Akhundov got through with a three-bet shove for 94,000, as Pavel Plesuv as initial raiser and the rest of the table folded.

Sylvain Loosli raised to 14,000 from the hijack and Thomas Muehloecker called on the button. On the {Q-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} flop, both players checked and the {4-Spades} appeared on the turn. Loosli bet 18,0000 and Muehloecker called before the {A-Clubs} appeared on the river. Loosli now checked and Muehloecker bet 51,000, picking up a call by Loosli and rolling over {A-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs} for two pair to claim the pot.

Over on table one, Ekrem Sanioglu raised to 16,000 and Javier Gomez Zapatero defended the big blind. The {10-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{4-Clubs} flop, Gomez Zapatero check-called a bet worth 28,000 and the {5-Spades} turn and {6-Hearts} river were checked. Gomez Zapatero showed {7-Spades}{6-Spades} for two pair and won the pot.

Hand-For-Hand Five Off the Money

Niveau 16 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Since at least two of the four tables saw players run their shot clock down consequently to the last second before making their decision, tournament staff has decided to stop the clock and wait for the current hand to end. Then, they announced that the tournament will continue in hand-for-hand mode five off the money.

Gruissem Takes from Kurganov

Niveau 16 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Philipp Gruissem raised to 14,000 and Ekrem Sanioglu called in the small blind, Igor Kurganov called in the big blind. On a flop of {10-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{5-Hearts} and the {8-Spades} turn, all three players checked. The {7-Hearts} appeared on the river and was checked to Gruissem. He bet 45,000 and Sanioglu folded, Kurganov eventually called.

Gruissem rolled over {A-Hearts}{Q-Hearts} for the nut flush and Kurganov mucked. "Ahh, nut flush, where is your queen-high flush now?" Gruissem joked to Sanioglu, and Joao Simao chimed in with a "you blocked it."

Kurganov dropped to less than 10 big blinds and is the shortest stack at the moment along with Timothy Adams.

Slow Action

Niveau 16 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

With hand-for-hand already in play five places before the money, action has slowed down to a crawl. This one is going to take a while, folks.

Plesuv on the Flop

Niveau 16 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Adrian Mateos raised to 12,000 and Pavel Plesuv three-bet to 32,000 from one seat over. The action folded back to Mateos and he called. The flop then came {J-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{9-Clubs} and Mateos checked, Plesuv bet 26,000 and that ended the hand right there. Julian Thomas chopped another pot right before with queen-jack versus queen-jack on a jack-high board, besides that nothing much is happening.

Kurganov Doubles

Niveau 17 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

On a board of {A-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{Q-Hearts}{J-Spades}, Oliver Weis faced a bet worth 24,000 by Adrian Mateos and opted to raise to 80,000, which the Spaniard called. Weis tabled {K-Spades}{Q-Spades} for a pair of queens and Mateos had that beat with {A-Diamonds}{7-Spades}.

At the same time on table one, Dmitry Yurasov had raised, then called the shove of Igor Kurganov for 37,000. They were waiting for all tables to be finished and then the cards were turned over.

Igor Kurganov: {8-Clubs}{8-Spades}
Dmitry Yurasov: {J-Clubs}{10-Clubs}

The board came {5-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{3-Clubs}{K-Hearts}{6-Clubs} and Kurganov doubled.
