Daniel Harwood Eliminated

Niveau 5 : 200/400, 50 ante
Daniel Harwood at PSF London
Daniel Harwood at PSF London

PokerStars Festival London Main Event runner-up Daniel Harwood, who cashed $118,738 back in January, has just been eliminated from the tournament. There were already many chips in the middle when Harwood shoved all in with {4-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} on a {J-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} board.

"I'll double-check if I have nine-eight, or eight-seven", his opponent Scott Hanna said, who proceeded to check his hole cards. After the snap-call, it was obvious which holding it was. The {Q-Clubs} on the river didn't pair the board and Harwood headed for the rail.

Monczak With the Quads

Niveau 5 : 200/400, 50 ante

On a flop with {9-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} there was around 7,000 in the middle. Action got checked to Sven Meschede, who bet 3,000. Both Eros Calderone and Tomasz Monczak went all in and Meschede called it off after some consideration.

Meschede covered both players and could score the double knockout.

Sven Meschede: {J-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}
Eros Calderone: {8-Hearts}{8-Spades}
Tomasz Monczak: {6-Hearts}{6-Spades}

Monczak had a commanding lead with his set of sixes, both other players were drawing slim. The {2-Clubs} on the turn didn't change anything, the {6-Clubs} on the river even improved Monczak to quads. Calderone was out and Meschede took a hit.

Walter Buss Bets it Casually

Niveau 5 : 200/400, 50 ante

On a board which read {K-Diamonds}{J-Spades}{A-Hearts}{7-Hearts}, Sven Latzke bet 5,500 in an already decent sized pot. Walter Buss called and Josef Pavelka called as well.

The river paired the board with the {J-Clubs}. Latzke checked, which prompted Buss to fling 11,000 very casually forward. Pavelka snap-mucked, Latzke needed a lot more time to fold as well.

Baldisseri Busto

Niveau 4 : 150/300, 50 ante

Jeremy Baldisseri wasn't able to enjoy his Main Event run for long. Holding pocket nines, Baldisseri had all the chips in the middle on a {6-}{7-}{8-}{9-}{J-} board. Marcel Dietel had {A-Hearts}{10-Hearts} in front of him and eliminated the Frenchman with a straight.

Kristeller Gives One Up

Niveau 4 : 150/300, 50 ante

Martin Kristeller was one of the players to burst out of the starting blocks today. The German quickly ran up his stack in the early stages to 60,000 and amassed a ton of T-25 and T100 chips already.

With five people paying 800 each to see the {7-Spades}{10-Clubs}{8-Clubs} appear, it was Kristeller took the lead by betting 2,200. Robert Schünemann called from the big blind, the other players folded.

On the {Q-Clubs} turn, Schünemann led out 4,500 and Kristeller elected to surrender a pot for one of the first times today.
