Greg Mokgoathleng raised the button to 800 and called a three-bet to 1,900 by Gregory Maistry in the small blind. Maistry bet the 9♥7♣5♠ flop for 3,700 and the 3♥ turn for 6,500, both of which Mokgoathleng called. On the A♦ river, both checked and Maistry tabled the 10♣10♠.
"I was hoping for a ten," Mokgoathleng said as he flashed the J♦8♦ for a missed double gutshot.
Colin Horgan is among the chip leaders and fellow The Hendon Mob qualifiers Florian Bock and Herman Schweiger joined his table. There may be some violence among them coming, as promised in a certain group chat.
Stephen Courtney opened to 1,000 and received two callers in Beat Schlegel as well as Sachin Naidoo out of the blinds. They checked the 9♥8♥8♠ flop to the A♣ turn on which Courtney bet 1,800. Only Schlegel called and checked the 3♦ on the river. Courtney bet 2,700 and won the pot uncontested.

On the heads-up turn of 10♣6♠2♥3♠, Maureen Bloechlinger check-raised out of the blinds for half of her stack and then called when Rudolf Frick pushed all-in.
Bloechlinger's 10♦9♠ for top pair were drawing dead as Frick had flopped a set with the 2♠2♦. That made the Q♦ river a formality and the stacks were counted. The 25,500 of Bloechlinger were covered and she headed to the rail.
"Sorry Maureen," Frick said and Bloechlinger smiled "I am not coming back". Her attempt at running up a bigger stack than on Day 1a will thus conclude for the time being.
Heads-up to the 10♣10♥7♦2♦ turn, Hennie Appel check-called for 2,200 against Colin Horgan and then bet the K♠ river for 5,000. Horgan raised to 20,000 and Appel quickly called all-in.
Horgan showed 2♥2♠ for a turned full house and Appel's J♣10♠ for trips tens went down in flames.
Three ways to the 8♥6♦5♣ flop, a trio of players invested 1,500 chips with Wessel Conradie leading the way versus Gilbert Tin Fook and Francis Vanderlinden. It was the latter who then bet the J♣ turn for 600. Conradie jammed for 6,900 and Tin Fook asked for the count, then folded.
Vanderlinden used one time bank extension and folded, too.
"Show one card," Tin Fook demanded and Conradie replied "no, you guys are too clever and will use it against me".
