I joined the action to see a flop on the felt and Paul Phua (under-the-gun) betting 6,000, Tom Marchese (big blind) smooth called and the two of them went to a turn. It was checked through and the fell on the river. Marchese threw out four red chips for a total bet of 20,000. Phua didn't like it but after some consideration, he called and Marchese showed to take the pot.
Cary Katz raised to 8,000 from the cutoff. Dan Shak then three-bet to 36,500 from the small blind. Katz quickly folded.
As the dealer pushed the small pot, Shak turned over . "Give me my hand back," Katz joked.
It's small pot poker over on table X with no major pots of note. That being said, here's what has happened:
Paul Phua made a raise to 6,500 from under-the-gun and Mustapha Kanit (button) was the only caller. On the flop, Phua bet 6,000 and Kanit called. The turn and river were both checked through and Kanit announced "two pairs," and showed , Phua nodded and mucked.
On the next hand, Marchese made it 7,000 to play and received no action, he showed two red queens as he took the pot.
It was a case of winner stays on as the two winners of the previous hand clashed in a pot soon after. Kanit raised to 6,500 on the button and Marchese called out of the big blind. Kanit bet 5,000 on the flop and Marchese called. Neither player bet the turn, but Marchese fired out 18,000 on the river. Kanit paused for thought but decided to fold.
Talal Shakerchi raised to 7,500, and Yaqi Sun called, and Elton Tsang three-bet to 26,500 from the big blind. Shakerchi thought a few moments, then pushed out a stack of chips that looked to be about 200,000. Sun quickly folded and Tsang went into the tank. After thinking for a couple minutes, he mucked his cards.
