All the money went in on the flop after a board ran out. Cary Katz had his head-up opponent all-in and at risk with the best of it.
Cary Katz:
Opponent:
Katz had flopped a full house but did need to fade some outs. The on the turn was a safe card and the on the river was event better, giving Katz quads to take down the pot.
Things escalated pretty quickly on the turn of a board between Cary Katz and Daniel Negreanu. It is unclear how the betting went on the turn but Katz ended up all-in and at risk and Negreanu was ready to gamble.
Cary Katz:
Daniel Negreanu:
Katz was ahead with a straight but Negreanu wasn't far behind with a set of sixes. The was a brick on the river and Katz scored the huge double to take the chip lead.
After busting in fourth place in the first USPO event earlier today, Justin Young entered play but did not last long. He does have some time to fire one of his two remaining bullets if he chooses.
With about 24,000 in the middle and a board reading , Daniel Negreanu bet 17,000 out of the small blind and got called by Cary Katz in the big blind and Benjamin Pollak in the cutoff.
The completed the board on the river and Negreanu fired another bullet, worth 42,000, and both of his opponents folded.
Brandon Shack-Harris is the latest player to require another bullet and has a new seat with a fresh stack. It appears from the look of Sam Soverel's stack that he was the beneficiary of Shack-Harris' demise adding a pile to his already massive lead.
