After Brian Rast opened from under the gun, Rainer Kempe shoved on the button for about 100,000 and Rast called to put him at risk. Kempe had two live cards with the but was behind Rast's . Rast would catch an ace on the flop and Kempe was not able to improve falling for the second time on the day.
Dan Smith and Brian Green have been sitting beside each other for the better part of the day. Over the course of eight hours, poker players often find a way to make some side bets. Green ordered himself a drink with a certain type of vodka and Smith ordered two more of the same, but with different types.
The Bet: Smith made a $200 bet that Green would not be able to tell what glass had his favorite type of vodka. When the drinks arrived, Green was sure he had it nailed down, but unfortunately, he chose the wrong glass. Smith would win the bet but there was still some poker to be played.
Smith raised to 10,000 on the button and Green called from the small blind. The flop came and both players checked to the on the turn. Green led out for 15,000 and Smith easily made the call. The river brought the and Green fired another 20,000. Smith called once again and Green tabled for a flush, good enough to scoop the pot.
The board read with around 70,000 in the middle of the pot. Bryn Kenney checked from under the gun and Dan Shak threw in a bet of 25,000. Kenney made the call and the completed the board.
Kenney checked again and this time Shak checked behind. Kenney tabled for a pair of jacks and Shak wasn't able to beat it as he sent his cards to the muck.
We picked up the action on the turn with the board reading and both, Daniel Negreanu in the small blind and Keith Tilston under the gun, checked their options.
The landed on the river and Negreanu led out for 160,000 into a pot of around 100,000. Tilston thought for a brief moment and then made the call. Negreanu tabled for just ace-high while Tilston had not much better, with for a pair of deuces. Tilston was able to scoop a sizeable pot and take Negreanu down a notch.
Keith Tilston opened to 9,000 under the gun and then watched Daniel Negreanu bump it up to 42,000 in the small blind. Tilston quickly moved all in and Negreanu called just as quick, putting himself at risk.
