Guan Raises the River, Chidwick Sticks Around

Niveau 3 : 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

The board read {6-Diamonds}{k-Spades}{2-Spades}{9-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}, the pot contained around 16,000 and Ryan Murphy led for 10,500 from the small blind. Stephen Chidwick called in the hijack and Ricky Guan raised to 34,000 from the button.

Murphy ducked and Chidwick took a brief moment of thought, in the end he called the raise and Guan quickly turned over {j-Spades}{j-Diamonds} for a rivered set of jacks. The hand was good after Chidwick chucked his cards into the muck, sending another early pot to Guan.

Peters Gets Values From His Queens

Niveau 3 : 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

David Peters was first to act in a pot against Sean Perry. The board was {K-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{4-Spades} and Peters led out for 12,000. Perry thought about it for a little while, then called.

Both players checked on the {9-Hearts} turn and the {K-Hearts} came on the river. Peters led out again, making it 23,000. Perry tanked for a bit, but then put in the chips to call. Peters showed down his {Q-Hearts}{Q-Spades} and that would be good to earn him the pot, putting him just under 200,000 chips.

Katz Picks off Kornuth's Bluff

Niveau 2 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Action was multiway on a flop of {Q-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} and everyone checked to Chance Kornuth. He put out a bet of 4,500 and Cary Katz called in position. Everyone else folded so they headed to the turn heads-up.

The turn was the {K-Diamonds} and both players checked to see the {A-Diamonds} hit the river. There, Kornuth led out with a bet of 12,500. Katz called quickly.

"Eight-high," Kornuth said, flashing his {8-Clubs}{7-Clubs}. Katz had that beat though with {A-Hearts}{J-Hearts} for a rivered top pair.

Despite losing the small pot, Kornuth is still very healthy with nearly 300,000 while Katz chipped up to just under 200,000.

Jaffee Assist in the Decline of Yu

Niveau 2 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

The board read {9-Clubs}{10-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}{j-Clubs}, with a total of 55,000 in the pot and Ben Yu fired out 30,000. Jared Jaffee thought for a brief moment and moved all in for 103,000.

Yu took his time, using a time extension, and in the end would fold to Jaffee's all in, giving up yet another pot since busting a player early in the day.
