Katz Sent to the Rail by Schulman

Niveau 8 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Nick Schulman
Nick Schulman

Nick Schulman opened to 8,000 from the cutoff and Chris Hunichen called in the small blind. Cary Katz called in the big blind.

The flop was {j-Clubs}{7-Spades}{5-Clubs} and Hunichen checked. Katz moved all in for 8,000 and Schulman called. Hunichen thought for a bit then raised to 30,000. Schulman called.

On the {7-Diamonds} turn, Hunichen continued betting, making it 22,000. Schulman called.

The river was the {6-Clubs} and Hunichen slowed down and checked. Schulman moved all in for over 100,000 and Hunichen sighed, then folded.

Katz showed down his {j-Spades}{3-Diamonds} for top pair, but he'd been bested by Schulman's {q-Clubs}{9-Clubs} for a rivered flush and would be eliminated.

Schindler Doubles Through Winter

Niveau 8 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Jake Schindler moved all in for his last 36,000 and Sean Winter called, players turned over their hands.

Jake Schindler: {a-Clubs}{10-Clubs}
Sean Winter: {k-Spades}{k-Hearts}

The flop came down {9-Spades}{3-Spades}{a-Diamonds} and Winter said "Come on ace of clubs on the turn,". The dealer flipped over the {5-Hearts} on the turn and Winter would need a king to take out Schindler. The {6-Clubs} on the river was not that and Schindler secured a double up with his pair of aces.

Jason Koon
Jason Koon

Sean Winter opened to 10,000, Alex Foxen called from the button and Jason Koon three-bet to 52,000. Winter moved all in for 234,000, Foxen folded and Koon snap-called.

Sean Winter: {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds}
Jason Koon: {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}

After Winter turned over his aces Koon said "I heard this is the week of Sean Winter," with a smile as the dealer fanned out {6-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} on the flop.

A {j-Clubs} fell on the turn and Koon was now drawing dead to the {9-Clubs} on the river. Winter scooped in the pot for a full double through Koon, who just before the hand knocked out Rainer Kempe.

Koon Back In It, Takes From Kempe

Niveau 7 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Jason Koon opened to 6,500 from the button on his new table. Rainer Kempe called in the small blind and Jake Schindler called in the big blind.

The flop was {8-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} and all three players checked to see the {k-Spades} on the turn. There, action checked to Koon who bet 16,000. Kempe called while Schindler ducked out.

On the {10-Spades} river, Kempe checked a third time. Koon now bet 48,000. Kempe thought for a few seconds then called. Koon showed {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds} and that earned him the pot when Kempe mucked.

"Super thin value bet, man," Sean Winter said to Koon after the hand. "That's a scary board."

"Not that thin," Kempe responded.

Peters Calls Three Streets From Foxen

Niveau 7 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Alex Foxen opened with a raise to 7,000 from the cutoff and David Peters called from the button.

The flop was {k-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{4-Hearts} and Foxen continued, betting 7,000 again. Peters called.

Peters called another bet of 23,000 on the {10-Diamonds} turn from Foxen.

The river was the {a-Spades} and Foxen led out a third time, making it 39,000. Foxen quickly flashed what looked like pocket queens, but Peters was holding {k-Spades}{10-Clubs} for top pair and that would earn him the pot.
