Jared Bleznick made his first cash in the 2021 U.S. Poker Open count with a victory in Event #8: $10,000 Pot-Limit Omaha for $189,000 on Friday, June 11 at the PokerGO Studio at the ARIA Resort & Casino after defeating Maxx Coleman during heads-up play .

Bleznick, who is approaching $2 million in live tournament earnings, began the day as the chip leader but let Coleman do most of the work at the final table with the runner-up all ending the days of Christopher Usude, Ali Imsirovic, and Joseph Sanders.

Four-card poker continues to be hot among the community of the high rollers as Event #8 attracted 63 entries to generate a $630,000 prize pool.

This represented just two entries less than the 65 entries that battled in Event #2: $10,000 Pot-Limit Omaha won by Sam Soverel for $175,500.

The final table was broadcasted to poker fans around the world at the subscription-based PokerGO.

Final Table Action

Bleznick entered the final day with the chip lead with Maxx Coleman just inches behind. Sanders and Imsirovic began in the middle of the pack with Frank Crivello and Usude hoping to spin up their short stacks.

The dynamic soon changed with the two short stacks colliding. Usude got his short stack in holding kings with jack-four against Crivello with aces with queen-seven. Crivello (sixth - $37,800) was down to just one big blind which was dusted off two hands later after Usude improved to a flush to catapult himself into contention.

Usude didn't just ladder up one spot as he witnessed Coleman ousted both Imsirovic (fourth - $63,000) and Sanders (fifth - $50,400).

Time was then up for Usude while Coleman's position as the table terminator continued. Usude committed his stack with top pair on an ace-high flop and was drawing dead on the turn to hit the rail in third place for $88,200 for the biggest live tournament score in his poker career.

Bleznick chipped up during heads-up play to leave Coleman with just a few blinds. Coleman with the double-suited nine-seven-six-deuce jammed the ten-seven-four flop and needed help after Bleznick called with ace-eight-eight-seven.

Bricks came on the turn and river and Coleman settled for the runner-up prize of $126,000, while Bleznick won the event for $189,000.
