The Pace of Play Is Slowing Down

Niveau 11 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

Whether it's the bellies full of food, the slightly warmer tournament area (why would anyone turn down the air condition in this heat?) or the fact that the remaining players now more easily can follow the countdown to the end of the day, we can't say. But the heart of the matter is, that the pace of play is significantly slower than before dinner.

Only a handful of players have lost their tournament life during the last level, and most of the hands across the tables seems to be won preflop or with a single continuation bet.

Cards Are in the Air

Niveau 11 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

Dinner break is officially over and four more levels of poker await the remaining players at the Winamax SISMIX Main Event Day 1a.

An additional player opted to re-enter during the break, and that brings the total number of entrants up to 217. 81 of them still have hopes of bagging up a massive stack at the end of the day.

Dinner Break Is Here

Niveau 10 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

The remaining 80 players have just left the tournament area to get some dinner. Play will be back underway in 75 minutes - at 9.05 pm local time. When play resumes after the break, the possibility of late registration is also passé, as the Frenchman would say.

Colliot Stops for No One: Busts Davidi Kitai

Niveau 10 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante
Davidi Kitai
Davidi Kitai

There is no stopping Jordy Colliot. The Frenchman has been sporting quite the stack for a few levels, and he just surged into the chiplead by winning a massive pot with the flopped nut flush. The board ran out {A-Clubs}{J-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{3-Spades}{2-Hearts}, and his opponent, Hugues Caunille, couldn't find the big fold with a flopped flush of his own.

The very next hand Colliot send Davidi Kitai packing. Colliot made it 3,500 to go, and quickly called when Kitai moved all-in for his last 15,200 chips. Colliot's {Q-Spades}{10-Clubs} were flipping against the {9-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} of Kitai, and with the {Q-Hearts} lurking already in the door, the Belgian Winamax Pro needed quite some help.

The board ran out {8-Spades}{A-Spades}{Q-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{2-Spades} and Kitai joined teammate Guillaume Diaz on the rail.

No Double for Diaz

Niveau 9 : 800/1,600, 200 ante
Guillaume Diaz
Guillaume Diaz

Winamax Team Pro Guillaume Diaz was down to his last 11,700 before finally finding a spot to put them in the middle when the action was folded to him in the small blind. Hugo Larachiche in the big blind wasted no time calling with {10-Clubs}{J-Hearts} and a team pro bounty on the line, and the hand was even dominating that of Diaz, as the pro held {10-Hearts}{7-Hearts}.

The {4-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{6-Clubs} gave Diaz plenty of outs to a straight before the {Q-Diamonds} on the turn took some away again. The river {4-Diamonds} was as blank as they come, and Diaz handed over a slipper confirming the bounty to Larachiche, before heading for the rail.
