The players keep turning up to this second starting day of the Winamax SISMIX Main Event. 219 unique participants and 117 re-entries make for a total of 336 entries so far, and late registration will even be open for another three hours.
Among the new faces in the crowd is Winamax Pro Gaelle Baumann. Baumann tried her luck yesterday but ultimately didn't advance, but between today's shot and tomorrow's day 1c, the French pro should be present on Day 2 on Saturday.
Also in the field is PMU Team Pro Erwann Pecheux. Pecheux came in second at a WSOP mix-max event in 2015, and he's looking to one-up that result in Marrakech come Sunday.

On a board Christophe Beyer had put a short stacked Laurent Hunel to the test, and while trying to muck his cards, Hunel had accidentally moved his remaining chips over the betting line with his forearm.
The floor was instantly summoned, but with Beyer agreeing that Hunel had no ill intent but was just being clumsy, the final ruling was that Hunel's hand was folded.
Hunel apologizingly turned over as to underline the point, that he would never move in, and Beyer returned the favor by showing for the flopped set. Thus, Hunel lives to fight another day.

On a board of and with 19,000 in the pot, Winamax Pro Aladin Reskallah moved all-in for 29,900. His opponent, David Moate, contemplated his options for quite some time, before spinning some kind of blue instrument, he had brought to the poker table. Reskallah was able to withstand the hypnotizing effect of the card guard, however, as he sat quietly giving nothing away. After another minute Moate's cards hit the muck, and Reskallah dragged the pot.

Frederic Chau and Fernandez Francisco are a match made in heaven. They are situated very near the press room, and every time we pass the table, they seem to involved in a rather big hand.
While Francisco got the better of Chau last time, Chau just got some back. On a board Francisco check-called 3,100 from Chau, before checking again on the river. Chau cut out 10,500 and slid over the betting line, and Francisco was quick to get the conversation going once again.
"That's a very good bet," he said.
"I only have Ace-high, I think, I have to fold," he continued.
Chau didn't say a word. Ultimately Francisco let it go, and Chau raked in the pot.

After four levels of play, no one seems to have really distanced the field. The biggest stack might very well be Frenchman Maxime Sueur, who has managed to turn his starting stack of 50,000 into 138,000.
Pierre Calamusa is back at the felt after busting the High Roller in third place an hour ago. He is off to a fantastic start in the Main Event, and has already amassed a double and then some, as he is sitting with 125,000 in front of him. That's also the most among the participating Team Winamax Pros, as Michel Abecassis has 56,000 while Aladin Reskallah is down to 29,500.

The remaining 264 players are now on their second break of the day. Play will recommence in 25 minutes.
Yannick Autaa opened up the action from early position and both Gregory Gino Caubet on the button and Leo Margets in the big blind made the call.
Autaa continued for 1,500 on the flop, Caubet quickly called before Margets made it 5,700 total. Both her opponent agreed to that price.
The turn saw Margets check before Autaa fired 7,000. Only Margets called, before the two players checked through the river.
Margets almost mucked her cards, but ultimately decided to turn over for the Ace-high. They were no match for the turned straight of Autaa as he held .
