Gamble Pays Off for Livingston

Niveau 4 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante
Alex Livingston
Alex Livingston

Alexandru Papazian opened to 1,100 from middle position before Alex Livingston three-bet to 3,500 from the button. Renan Menezes then four-bet shoved for 13,300 from the small blind, forcing a fold from Papazian.

"Let's gamble" Livingston commented before flicking in the call with a covering stack.

Renan Menezes: 1010
Alex Livingston: K10

Menezes was in great shape to double up and remained ahead on the 577 flop. That all changed when the K turn left Menezes drawing to just one out. The 2 river was a brick and Menezes made his exit from the tournament area while Livingston took down a healthy pot.

Jesse Lonis

Nikita Kuznetsov flat-called a raise to 2,200 while in the cutoff and Jesse Lonis then three-bet to 10,800 in the small blind. The initial raiser folded and Kuznetsov called, which led them to the Q95 flop.

Lonis continued for 15,200 and earned a reluctant call from Kuznetsov, who then faced the shove by Lonis on the J turn.

"How much is it?" Kuznetsov asked and the shove of Lonis was for 42,200. Half a minute later, the Russian called and instantly asked "do you have kings?"

Lonis indeed held the overpair and the K river improved him to a set. Both stacks were counted and Kuznetsov was covered by a single big blind.

Rabinowitz Hits the Rail

Niveau 10 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Darren Rabinowitz was all-in with a severe short stack but got there with J4 against the K8 of Luis Marrero on a board of A94J6.

"Tens, ace-queen, ace-king," Rabinowitz then mentioned as he recalled losing with big slick to a scoop by Levon Galstyan.

Right after, Christopher Rickerson jammed for 48,000 with the A8 and Jonathan Newman moved all-in over the top holding the 1010. Rickerson used the old "standing up and getting ready to go" trick and hit the ace-high flush on a A6456 runout.

Rabinowitz eventually jammed the last 9,000 and Marrero called with the K9. The AQ of Rabinowitz went down in flames on a K75410 and he will have to re-enter in one of the remaining starting days.
