Gordon Gets a Ballsy Double Through Zhang

Niveau 7 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

In a three-bet pot to the 775 flop, Randy Gordon check-called a bet and that led them to the 8 turn with 35,400 in the middle. Gordon checked again and Hongru Zhang bet 21,000 for Gordon to call.

The J fell on the river and Gordon checked the third time. Zhang quickly moved all-in and Gordon counted the 53,500 he had behind. Half a minute later, he called and exposed his A5.

Zhang didn't show his cards right away and Gordon led out an "let's fucking go ... one time in my fucking life!" Moments later, Zhang exposed the A10 for a bluff and then paid off the double.

The World Series of Poker (WSOP) Paradise $5,300 Main Event kicked off on Saturday at Atlantis Paradise Island in the Bahamas, and officials took the opportunity to reveal to players what they’ll receive it they’re fortunate enough to finish as the last player standing.

In addition to a seven-figure payday, the winner will receive a new WSOP Paradise Main Event bracelet that is hand-crafted by Jostens and features an island spin on the classic WSOP Main Event bracelet. Custom made from 10-karat yellow gold, just like the summer’s trophy, the WSOP Paradise Main Event bracelet weighs nearly 95 grams and is hand-set with 494 genuine blue topaz round stones.

“The WSOP Main Event bracelet is considered the richest trophy in sports, and our first Main Event bracelet for WSOP Paradise puts a fun spin on the trophy’s legacy,” said WSOP Vice President Gregory Chochon. “This is the World Series of Poker, we’re global and need a proper World Championship trophy to represent the newest home we’ve added to the series.
