Negreanu Holds Up to Double Through Suvarna
Niveau 30
: Blinds 100,000/150,000, 150,000 ante
Santhosh Suvarna opened the action with a raise to 300,000 from the cutoff, and when it folded to Daniel Negreanu in the small blind he three-bet all in for 950,000. The big blind folded, and Suvarna made the call to put Negreanu at risk.
Daniel Negreanu: 6♦6♣
Santhosh Suvarna: K♠9♥
Negreanu was in front with his pocket sixes, but needed to win the race to stay in the tournament. He did just that after the board ran out 10♠2♥Q♣Q♦5♠ to give Negreanu the double up.
