There is a scheduled one-hour dinner break and the players just left their seats to fill their bellies at the delicious buffet, provided by the Es Saadi Marrakech Hotel - Palace.

Kamel Atoui opened the action preflop with a raise and he was called by Jaouad Abida from the button and by another player from one of the blinds.
The flop was 
and Atoui continued with another bet. He was called by Abida, but the other player in the hand got out of the way. They went heads-up to the turn.
The turn fell 
and that's where it all got a little bit more interesting. Atoui checked to Abida and he made a big pot-sized bet of 100,000. Atoui check-raised to 200,000 and Abida went into the tank. He got the clock called on him after a couple of minutes and he called the raise before his time ran out.
The river was the 
and Atoui immediately pushed all in. Abida took his time again and eventually called the 151,000 all-in bet from Atoui.

The floor staff announced that they will play eleven one-hour levels before the day is over, but the tournament will stop as well if there are 24 players left in the field.
With the record-breaking field of 544 players, it is more likely that they will play the full eleven levels.

A lot of the hands are played the same way in the tournament room of Casino de Marrakech in the Es Saadi Hotel - Palace. There are a lot of 'raise-and-take-its' happening and the speed of play has severely slowed down while the tournament is just six spots of the mincash of 28,000 MAD (approx. €2,600).

Chip Leader Julien Robert just busted another player from the tournament as his stack keeps growing. He saw Avatar open to 12,000 from early position and Robert raised all in from middle position, covering not only everyone at the table but also everyone in the tournament. Arnaud Peyroles tank-called all in from the blinds and he was all-in for 140,000. Avatar folded and Robert quickly opened up, eager to see what he was up against.
