Oeztuerk Doubles Through Karadaglis

Niveau 2 : 100/300, 300 ante

With around 7,000 in the middle to the {j-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} turn, Ercan Oeztuerk from the cutoff was a risk for 30,400. He was looked up by Stylianos Karadaglis and both players turned over two pair.

Ercan Oeztuerk: {j-Spades}{8-Hearts}
Stylianos Karadaglis: {8-Spades}{4-Spades}

The {7-Hearts} river changed nothing whatsoever and Oeztuerk doubled to remain in contention.

Gilboa Chips Up; Hofmann Chips Down

Niveau 2 : 100/300, 300 ante

Thomas Hofmann has lost another big chunk out of his stack after moving tables when he got involved in the action out of the small blind. Ultimately he checked the {a-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{j-Clubs}{9-Hearts} river and Uri Gilboa checked back. A rather depleted Hofmann tabled the {k-Clubs}{k-Hearts} and Gilboa had that beat with {a-Clubs}{q-Hearts} for two pair.

More Early Eliminations

Niveau 2 : 100/300, 300 ante

The Day 1b field has surpassed more than 200 entries but the list of early casualties is rather low for the King's Resort, as 199 players out of 207 entries remain. Samuel Grigorian was among those to bust and re-enter while the other players below have not opted to jump back in yet.

Bise Gets Value From Klima

Niveau 2 : 100/300, 300 ante

Emil Bise bet the {k-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} turn for 4,000 and then led the {5-Diamonds} river for another 5,000. His sole remaining opponent Lukas Klima called after brief consideration and mucked when Bise rolled over the {k-Diamonds}{7-Hearts} for kings up.

Kuehle Cools Down D'Angelo

Niveau 2 : 100/300, 300 ante

Andrea Ricci was involved in a bigger pot to the {7-Spades}{2-Spades}{2-Diamonds} flop as 13,000 were in the middle. Damian Wyss bet 3,300 out of the blinds and Ricci folded.

Shortly after, 24,000 were invested by Olaf Kuehle and Daniele D'Angelo, the former of which was in the small blind. Kuehle check-called 13,000 on the {j-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{a-Spades} turn and then bet the {7-Diamonds} river for 18,700. D'Angelo tanked for a minute and called but mucked when Kuehle revealed the {a-Hearts}{k-Clubs}.

Assorted Counts and Bustouts

Niveau 2 : 100/300, 300 ante

No Call for Rosenwasser

Niveau 2 : 100/300, 300 ante

Jonathan Rosenwasser was among the contestants to quickly run up a stack on Day 1a before it all came to a crashing end. He is slightly up in chips on Day 1b thus far after just earning a pot against Adam Can. With around 15,000 in the middle to the {8-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{2-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{2-Spades} river, Can checked in the small blind.

Rosenwasser made it 11,500 to go from an early position and received the tank-fold.

Hofmann Pays Off Wilhelm

Niveau 2 : 100/300, 300 ante

On the tail end of a battle small blind versus cutoff, the board showed {q-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{j-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}. Carlo Wilhelm bet 2,500 and Thomas Hofmann tossed in a single T-5,000 chip for the call. He then mucked his cards as Wilhelm turned over {q-Spades}{q-Clubs} for queens full of jacks.

Vlcek Loses a Bunch

Niveau 1 : 100/200, 200 ante

Adam Vlcek had already invested a decent portion of his stack but ended up second-best when he paid off a bet by Thomas Olivieri on the {8-Spades}{6-Spades}{2-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} board. "Such a sick river," Vlcek sighed as he flashed deuces for bottom set on the flop. Olivieri had gone runner-runner with the {j-Hearts}{8-Hearts} for the superior full house to chip up.
