Constantine Cripples Raymer

Niveau 7 : 200/400, 0 ante

Arriving at the table to see a multi-way pot with Greg Raymer, Michael Constantine, and another player all in on a flop of {A-Clubs}{7-Spades}{2-Hearts}, Raymer was sitting with only 700 chips behind.

The turn brought a {Q-Clubs} with the action checking through. The river revealed another queen in the {Q-Spades} and it checked around again. Constantine rolled over {A-Spades}{Q-Hearts}{J-Clubs}{5-Spades} for trip queens with Raymer and the other player tossing their hands into the muck. The 25,000-chip pot slid in Constantine's direction, leaving Raymer with under two big blinds.

Kings Take Down Aces

Niveau 7 : 200/400, 0 ante

After an open to 900 from under the gun and a flat from Sasha Barrese in middle position, Renan Niehues announced "pot" to bump it to 4,450. The button four-bet jammed for his remaining stack of 4,000 with the UTG player and Barrese getting out of the way.

Niehues tabled {K-Spades}{K-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} and was behind the button's {A-Spades}{A-Clubs}{J-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}. That would not remain the case for long as a {K-Diamonds} was shown in the window to reveal a flop of {K-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{5-Clubs} putting Niehues well in the lead. The {Q-Diamonds} turn and {Q-Hearts} river then made Niehues kings full of queens, cracking his opponent's aces and sending him to the exit.

Jeff Gross Keeps His Seat

Niveau 5 : 100/200, 0 ante

Under WSOP tournament rules, all registered players must be in their seat by the start of Level 5 or their stacks are taken out of play and their buy-in refunded. Jeff Gross's seat was still empty when the level began as he hustled into the room. After a few moments of discussion with the floor, Gross was allowed to stay in possession of his stack and play.
