Petluck Doubles Through Ross

Niveau 6 : 300/600, 0 ante

Mike Ross: {x-}{x-}/{10-Clubs}{J-Clubs}
Shannon Petluck: {x-}{x-}/{A-Hearts}{7-Spades}
Opponent: {x-}{x-}/{5-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}

Shannon Petluck bet on fourth which was enough to put him all in and the third player in the hand folded. Mike Ross called.

"I'm rolled up," Petluck said showing {A-Diamonds}{A-Spades}.

Ross had {Q-Clubs}{J-Diamonds} under and would need to hit some running cards to catch up.

In the end their boards read as follows:

Mike Ross: {Q-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}/{10-Clubs}{J-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{K-Spades}/{J-Hearts}
Shannon Petluck: {A-Spades}{A-Diamonds}/{A-Hearts}{7-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}/{K-Hearts}

Ross did pick up outs on the {8-Diamonds} fifth and the {K-Spades} sixth gave him a few more, but he ended up with just trip jacks on seventh, which was not quite good enough to eliminate Petluck.

"You're welcome," Ross said to Petluck after the hand.

"Yeah, thanks for the seven chip pot," Petluck joked. "Let the record show that I am extremely grateful for this pot."

"You're a really good friend of mine, but I would've loved to knock your ass out, Shannon," Ross said after the hand.

Kurtzman Busted

Niveau 6 : 300/600, 0 ante
Eric Kurtzman, pictured in a different event.
Eric Kurtzman, pictured in a different event.

Eric Kurtzman was down to his last 900, so he put in a raise over a completion and got the rest in on fourth street three ways against Robert Campbell and James Woods. Campbell went three to a low on fifth and bet out Woods.

Campbell: {a-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}/{4-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{6-Hearts}
Woods: {x-}{x-}/{a-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{j-Spades} (folded on fifth street)
Kurtzman: {7-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}/{8-Diamonds}{k-Spades}{8-Spades}

Kurtzman was good for the moment for half of the pot with eights. He caught the {4-Diamonds} and Campbell the {j-Clubs}. Campbell caught the {7-Spades} on the end though, leaving Kurtzman dead to a straight and a low.

"Gutshot straight," Kurtzman muttered.

"You won't make it far going for gutshot straights," someone at the table joked.

Tilly on Fumes

Niveau 6 : 300/600, 0 ante

Jennifer Tilly was all in when we arrived at her table, and a player showing {5-Spades}{5-Clubs}{2-Clubs} bet to clear the rest of the field.

Tilly: {k-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}/{8-Hearts}{10-Spades}{8-Clubs}
Opponent: {4-Hearts}{3-Clubs}/{5-Spades}{5-Clubs}{2-Clubs}

No waiting as Tilly's opponent caught the {a-Hearts} for a wheel. However, Tilly got an {8-Spades} and then a {10-Diamonds} to make eights full and take the high half.

Bach Survives

Niveau 5 : 250/500, 0 ante
David Bach
David Bach

Scott Clements had the betting lead and kept it in a four-way pot as he caught three clubs and three low cards. Meanwhile, David Bach got it all in for his last 100 on fourth street showing a queen up.

Clements: {x-}{x-}/{a-Clubs}{7-Spades}{6-Clubs}{q-Clubs}/{x-}
Bach: {x-}{x-}/{q-Spades}{5-Hearts}{k-Clubs}{9-Clubs}/{x-}
Seat 1: {x-}{x-}/{5-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{10-Spades}/{x-}
Seat 3: {x-}{x-}/{2-Hearts}{4-Spades}{8-Clubs}{j-Clubs}/{x-}

Everyone checked on the end and the player in Seat 3 announced aces and an eight-low. Clements had {4-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} for a seven-low. Bach turned over {3-Clubs}{3-Spades}{q-Diamonds} for queens up, so he got half of the main pot to survive.

Grumpy is Rolled Down

Niveau 5 : 250/500, 0 ante

Ron Ware: {x-}{x-}/{3-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{6-Spades}/{x-}
Player 1: {x-}{x-}/{J-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{A-Hearts}{Q-Spades}/{x-}
Shannon Petluck: {x-}{x-}/{J-Hearts}{4-Spades} — Folded on fourth
Mike Ross: {x-}{x-}/{A-Clubs}{9-Hearts} — Folded on fourth
Player 2: {x-}{x-}/{6-Diamonds}{K-Hearts} — Folded on fourth

Ron Ware was the bring in and Mike Ross completed.

"I should've completed," Ware said after looking at his hand.

"If you did it would've been a nickel!" Ross joked back.

Shanon Petluck called as did two other players and Ware as well.

On fourth street, action checked to Player 1 who bet. Ware then made it two bets while everyone else folded. Player 1 called. Ware continued to bet on fifth, sixth, and seventh, and his opponent called on every street.

"I was rolled down!" Ware said, excitedly turning over his {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}{Q-Clubs} for a full house. His opponent put his hand face down.

"You're a really good player Grumpy," Shannon Petluck said after the hand. "This guy over here has two kings!"

Petluck was pointing to the other player in the hand who did reveal his {K-Clubs}{K-Diamonds} below, proving that Petluck was right.

"You see that! I'm the best player at the table!" Petluck said laughing. "You play so good Grumpy, I'm surprised you don't have more than one bracelet."

Ware just laughed as he raked in the pot.

Benson Left With 150

Niveau 5 : 250/500, 0 ante
Gary Benson
Gary Benson

Gary Benson and Andrey Zaichenko played a heads-up pot that saw Zaichenko bet every street including the river.

Benson: {x-}{x-}/{4-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}/{x-}
Zaichenko: {x-}{x-}/{a-Diamonds}{a-Spades}{8-Spades}{k-Diamonds}/{x-}

On the end, Benson grumbled and slammed down {6-Hearts}{2-Hearts}, indicating he'd bricked out with four to a straight and a low. He mucked and saved his last 150.
