Zack and Matusow Chop

Niveau 5 : 250/500, 0 ante

Dan Zack completed and got action from Mike Matusow and the player on the bring-in, but it got cut down to heads up on fifth when Zack took up the betting again after Matusow bet fourth.

Zack: {x-}{x-}/{a-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}
Matusow: {x-}{x-}/{9-Spades}{a-Spades}{4-Spades}
Bring-in: {x-}{x-}/{4-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{10-Spades} (folded on fifth street)

Matusow called and got the {2-Clubs} while Zack paired with {8-Clubs}. Zack bet again and then check-called on the end. They chopped it with Zack holding {5-}{2-}{3-} for a low and Matusow {a-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{k-Hearts} for aces up.

Niveau 5 : 250/500, 0 ante

Jameson Painter: {x-}{x-}/{A-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{K-Hearts}/{x-}
Player 1: {x-}{x-}/{5-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}{2-Spades}{K-Spades}/{x-}
Player 2: {x-}{x-}/{3-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{J-Clubs}{2-Hearts}/{x-}
Player 3: {x-}{x-}/{4-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}/{x-}
Player 4: {x-}{x-}/{9-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{8-Spades}/{x-}

Action was five-ways with a massive pot brewing in the middle of the table. The eventual winner of the pot, labeled here as Player 1, bet out on sixth street and he was called by four other players including Jameson Painter. On seventh, action checked to Player 1 again and he led out again, and once more, he was called by four players.

The player showed {A-Spades}{6-Spades}{4-Diamonds} for a flush and a six-low and collected the big pot. The player in question now has a stack of nearly 40,000 chips, but refused to identify himself to us. Painter meanwhile was clipped in the hand, dropping to right around 4,000 chips.

Albini Takes a Small Pot While Matusow Laments

Niveau 4 : 200/400, 0 ante

Mike Matusow from his event earlier today.

"Drink water Mike. You need to drink water." That's what Eli Elezra was saying to Mike Matusow as Matusow shouted to him from a few tables over. Matusow then stood up from his chair holding a bottle of water.

"I have water. It says, Mike Matusow, 11th place finisher," Matusow said, fanning his hand across his bottle. "I was at the worst table and we were having fun and they made me do a Fireball, whatever that is," he continued.

"Drink water Mike! Drink more water," Elezra said.

Matusow then sat at the table and was dealt a {2-Clubs} as his up card.

"How much do you need now? 50 more?" Matusow asked, fumbling with his chips. "This table is almost as bad as the old one because I have to pay 50 every hand."

Steve Albini: {x-}{x-}/{5-Spades}{5-Clubs}
Dan Zack: {x-}{x-}/{4-Clubs}{Q-Spades}
Player 1: {x-}{x-}/{2-Spades}{9-Clubs}

Matusow was the bring in and the player showing the {2-Spades} completed. Albini then called and Dan Zack called as well. On fourth street Albini bet with the lead and took down the pot as everyone folded.

Matusow continued with his rambling after the hand, but the rest of his table seemed more tuned into the poker than him.

Cordell Leaves Henson Shaking His Head

Niveau 4 : 200/400, 0 ante

Mike Cordell: {x-}{x-}/{4-Spades}{7-Clubs}{3-Spades}{6-Diamonds}/{x-}
Ray Henson: {x-}{x-}/{4-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}/{x-}
Player 1: {x-}{x-}/{Q-Spades}{7-Spades}{Q-Clubs}{4-Clubs}/{x-}
Player 2: {x-}{x-}/{10-Clubs}{6-Spades}{8-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}/{x-}

Picking up action on sixth street, action checked to Mike Cordell and he led out with a bet. He was called by Ray Henson as well as two other players.

On seventh, Cordell checked as did everyone else. Cordell just showed {A-Spades}{J-Spades}{9-Diamonds} for a seven-six low. While Henson and the player with queens mucked. The third player in the hand showed {10-Diamonds}{A-Diamonds}{A-Hearts} for two pair and he would take down half the pot as well.

Henson looked at his cards a few times and was left shaking his head after the hand.

Boat for Lorgeree

Niveau 4 : 200/400, 0 ante

Doug Lorgeree was facing an opponent showing a strong board with three clubs and then a pair of aces but he fired away into him nonetheless until he got raised on seventh.

Lorgeree: {x-}{x-}/{5-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{a-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}/{x-}
Opponent: {x-}{x-}/{a-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{a-Spades}/{x-}

Lorgeree came back with another raise and his opponent called.

"Queens full," Lorgeree said, tossing {q-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} in.

That was a scooper.
