Niveau 14 : 1,200/2,400, 0 ante
Clinton Monfort
Clinton Monfort

Uri Reichenstein had a huge pile of chips in front of him, worth about 300,000. He raised to 4,500 and three players made the call, including Clinton Monfort from the button and Ivaylo Sivinov from the small blind.

All four players checked when the {2-Diamonds}{A-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} flop came down. but when the {5-Clubs} turn touched the felt it was Sivinov who took over the betting lead.

He put out a bet of 12,000 and the only player to call was Monfort on the button. When the river came down Sivinov made a bet of 18,400 and he got called again.

Monfort showed down {Q-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} and that won him the pot.

Guagenti Takes a Chunk from Tuhrim

Niveau 14 : 1,200/2,400, 0 ante

Nick Guagenti limped from under the gun and so did Tom West on from the cutoff. Richard Tuhrim raised to 13,200 from the button and Guagenti made the call. West folded and the flop came down {3-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}.

Action checked to Tuhrim who potted for 32,400 and Guagenti then quickly moved all in for 68,200. Tuhrim called and then the players revealed their hands.

Tuhrim showed {a-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{a-Clubs}{k-Hearts} for a pair of aces and Guagenti tabled {5-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{8-Hearts} for a pair and straight draw. The turn was the {4-Hearts} and Guagenti now added to his already big pile of outs. The {5-Hearts} on the river was one of those outs as it gave him a flush and enough to double up through Tuhrim.
