Lynskey Next to Go Through

Niveau 6 : 200/400, 50 ante
Alexander Lynskey
Alexander Lynskey

Qui Nguyen was first to act and raised to 1,000. Alexander Lynskey three-bet to 4,400 and Nguyen called.

When the flop came {J-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}, Lynskey check-called the 5,000 bet of Nguyen.

The turn brought them the {3-Diamonds} to complete the flush-draw. Lynskey check-called the 10,000 bet.

The river completed the board with the {9-Spades}, Lynskey checked once more. Nguyen shoved for about 38,000 which sent Lynskey into the tank. After going through all his options, Lynskey decided to make the call.

Qui Nguyen: {10-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}
Alexander Lynskey: {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}

Lynskey's pocket queens were good enough to knock the 2016 WSOP Main Event Winner out of the Shootout. Nguyen shook Lynskey's hand and made his way out.

Harry Lodge

Shannon Shorr opened to 1,000 from the button and Harry Lodge three-bet to 3800. Shorr four-bet to 9800 and Lodge then five-bet to 36000. Shorr moved all in and Lodge made the call. Players revealed their cards with Shorr at risk of elimination.

Harry Lodge: {10-Clubs}{10-Spades}
Shannon Shorr: {a-Hearts}{k-Spades}

The flop came down {2-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{q-Clubs} and Shorr still needed to hit. The {4-Hearts} on the turn gave Shorr an added flush draw to go with his overcards but the {4-Clubs} on the river did not connect with his hand and Lodge took down the pot, securing his seat for Day 2.

Niveau 5 : 150/300, 50 ante

On Table #5, the board read {q-Clubs}{8-Spades}{10-Hearts}{k-Clubs} when Steve Gross moved all in for around 8,000 and Qui Nguyen snap-called. Gross flipped over {a-Diamonds}{a-Spades} for an overpair and Nguyen boarded {9-Clubs}{j-Clubs} for a flopped straight.
