Bellande Makes Monster Fold to Schulman

Jean-Robert Bellande
Jean-Robert Bellande

Pot-Limit Omaha

Nick Schulman raised to 6,000 from under the gun, and Jean-Robert Bellande called in the big blind to see a {A-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}{8-Hearts} flop.

Both players committed 4,500 as the turn landed the {10-Diamonds} and action checked through.

The river landed the {J-Hearts}, and after a Bellande check, Schulman bet the pot of 22,200.

Bellande responded with a check-raise to 76,000, and Schulman countered with a three-bet to 225,000.

A shocked Bellande shot to his feet as he deliberated over his decision.

"It is impossible that you would re-raise me without the ace of hearts in your hand!" announced Bellande.

"I have the ace of hearts, so what are you doing?" Bellande continued.

"I've got it! He's doing it with the nine of hearts blocker!" Bellande concluded.

Bellande then showed his hand, which turned out to be {A-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} for the ace-high flush.

As a crowd of players had gathered to see the final result as break had already began, Bellande continue to mull over his decision before he decided upon a fold, and then a quick exit from the tournament area.

Schulman pump-faked showing his hand before he quickly mucked them.
