Chidwick Says Pot

Niveau 5 : 50/100, 0 ante

PLO-8

Stephen Chidwick is maybe a bit more well-known for his no-limit hold'em high stakes tournaments, but here he is grinding a smaller buy-in that consists of strictly Omaha games. Testing out his all-around poker skills, maybe? Well, so far it seems as though he hasn't missed a beat and Chidwick is fitting right in with the rest of the field.

There was a raise from the hijack and Chidwick raised the pot to 950 from the big blind. His opponent made the call and the flop fell {9-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}. Chidwick made another pot-sized bet of 1,950 and his opponent quickly surrendered to the British poker pro.

Bach Chips Up

Niveau 5 : 50/100, 0 ante
David Bach
David Bach

Big-O

David Bach limped from the under-the-gun position and two seats over it was Steven Gagliano who raised it to 400. Bach made the call and the two went heads up to a flop.

The flop was {9-Clubs}{A-Clubs}{A-Hearts} and both players checked. The dealer opened up the {4-Hearts} turn card and this time Bach led out with a bet of 700. Gagliano called.

The {4-Diamonds} river completed the board without any low possibilities and Bach bet 600. Gagliano called, but mucked when he saw Bach open {A-Spades}{Q-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{3-Spades}.

Fuchs Has Heaps

Niveau 5 : 50/100, 0 ante
Carol Fuchs
Carol Fuchs

Coming back from the second break of the day, Carol Fuchs has by far the largest stack in the room. She has more than five times the starting stack, and for a hi-lo game, that is a ton of chips.

James Woods is "Free-rolling"

Niveau 4 : 50/100, 0 ante

Omaha-8

We arrived at the table when the board read {Q-Clubs}{J-Spades}{K-Spades}{10-Diamonds} and James Woods told us, "I'm freerolling my *** off, so I'm raising!." Alex Visbisky had put in a bet. Woods raised to two bets and another player called. Visbisky raised again and Woods and the third player called.

The river was the {3-Spades} and Visbisky bet out. Woods was very clear about the fact that the river card wasn't a good card for him. He did make the call and the third player folded {K-}{K-} face up.

Visbisky showed {A-Spades}{Q-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}{5-Spades} for the nuts and Woods showed {A-Hearts}{Q-Spades}{J-Clubs} to show how much he was "freerolling".

Alexander Chops One Up

Niveau 4 : 50/100, 0 ante

Omaha-8

James Alexander raised it up from the cutoff and was called by the small blind and Damjan Radanov in the big blind. The flop came {10-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{4-Clubs} and the small blind led out. Radanov and Alexander both called to see the {4-Spades} pair the board on the turn.

The action checked around to the {7-Spades} on the river. The small blind tossed in another bet and Radanov quickly folded. Alexander called and tabled {a-Clubs}{k-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{3-Hearts} for an ace-three low. His opponent showed {9-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} for a straight and a worse low to chop the pot.

Woodward Drags a Pot

Niveau 4 : 50/100, 0 ante

Omaha-8

Matt Woodward was in the big blind and called a raise from early position. The flop fell {q-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} and Woodward checked to his opponent who continued with a bet. Woodward put in two bets and his opponent called.

The turn brought the {a-Spades} and Woodward led out with a bet. His opponent had enough of the hand and tossed his cards to the muck, sending the pot to Woodward.

"When in Doubt, Get Out"

Niveau 4 : 50/100, 0 ante

PLO-8

There were five players still in the hand heading to a flop of {10-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}. The action checked to the cutoff who threw in a bet of 500. Norman Chad called on the button and the small blind called as well.

The turn brought the {9-Diamonds} and both players checked to Chad who bet 1,000. The small blind quickly folded but the cutoff had a bigger decision to make. He thought for over a minute and then decided to lay his hand down.

"When in doubt, get out," Chad said to his opponent. "I don't follow that rule very often."
