Porter Wins Massive Pot With Just Aces

Niveau 24 : 20,000/40,000, 0 ante

Mike Leah was the initial raiser from early position and picked up two opponents to see a three-way flop of {Q-Spades}{7-Spades}{2-Diamonds}. Leah checked and Rep Porter bet 160,000, which just Richard Gryko on the button called. Leah folded. On the {5-Diamonds} turn, Porter checked and Gryko bet the pot for 840,000. Porter called.

The {K-Hearts} on the river was checked and Porter was first to show, turning over his {A-Spades}{A-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{7-Clubs} for a pair of aces and busted nut flush draw. Gryko mucked and there were several "wowww"s coming from the table.

Wong Doubles Through Sammartino

Niveau 24 : 20,000/40,000, 0 ante

With about 225,000 in the pot and the board reading {9-Hearts}{8-Spades}{6-Hearts}, Dario Sammartino bet 175,000 from the small blind, Jerry Wong shoved for 690,000 from the big blind, and Loren Klein, who was in middle position, went into the tank for several minutes. He ultimately folded and Sammartino called to put Wong at risk.

Dario Sammartino: {A-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}
Jerry Wong: {K-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}

Both players had flopped straights but Sammartino had the better one and Wong needed to improve to survive. The {2-Spades} turn kept Sammartino ahead but the {8-Hearts} on the river gave Wong the winning flush, so he took the pot to double up.

Joey Ingram

After having lost his blinds, a short-stacked Joey Ingram ended up all in and at risk soon after against table neighbor Jerry Wong for what appeared to be 160,000.

Joey Ingram: {Q-Spades}{9-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{3-Spades}
Jerry Wong: {A-Spades}{K-Spades}{J-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}

The board came {A-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{K-Clubs} and Wong's top two sent Ingram to the rail in 17th place for $28,502. All remaining 16 players will now redraw again for the last two tables.

More for Klein

Niveau 24 : 20,000/40,000, 0 ante

Loren Klein raised it up to 80,000 from the cutoff and was called by Ryan Hughes. Klein bet the {J-Spades}{J-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} flop and Hughes on the button opted to raise to 220,000, Klein called. Both checked the {9-Clubs} turn and the {9-Hearts} river triggered a bet by Klein. Hughes folded.

Klein Takes From Kozlov

Niveau 24 : 20,000/40,000, 0 ante

With about 275,000 in the middle and the board reading {8-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}{5-Diamonds}, Martin Kozlov was in the big blind and facing a decision for 225,000 from Loren Klein, who was on the button. Kozlov went into the tank for several minutes and ultimately called. Klein rolled over {K-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{4-Diamonds} for a jack-high flush, Kozlov mucked, and Klein took the pot to extend his chip lead.

Hughes Takes From Porter; Ingram Chops for a Profit

Niveau 23 : 15,000/30,000, 0 ante

Rep Porter raised to 60,000 from under the gun and Ryan Hughes came along from the cutoff. On the {7-Spades}{3-Hearts}{2-Spades} flop, Porter bet 60,000 and Hughes called. The {7-Hearts} turn was checked by Porter and Hughes bet 160,000, which resulted in the call by Porter.

On the {9-Clubs} river, Porter check-called a bet of 400,000 and mucked when Hughes showed the {9-Spades}{7-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} for a full house. Hughes proceeded to win the next bigger pot of the duo also and Porter dropped almost one million in chips in two hands.

One table over, Joey Ingram was all in and initial raiser Richard Gryko had called. Scott Bohlman in the small blind reraised the pot and that forced out Gryko.

Joey Ingram: {A-Spades}{A-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{7-Hearts}
Scott Bohlman: {A-Diamonds}{A-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}

The board came {5-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{5-Spades}{2-Clubs} and they chopped it up to ensure a profit for Ingram. In table chat, Gryko mentioned he had folded a five for quads.

"Only you cannot bust to quads," he joked over to Ingram.

Henri Koivisto Eliminated in 18th Place ($28,502)

Henri Koivisto
Henri Koivisto

The cards of Henri Koivisto were all but rushed away while Rep Porter dragged in the pot with his {A-Spades}{Q-Spades}{Q-Clubs}{J-Diamonds} still tabled.

According to Alexey Makarov, Koivisto had defended his big blind and got it in after a {7-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{2-Clubs} flop with {8-}{6-}{4-}{X-} for a wrap, which missed after two blanks on turn and river.

Bohlman Doubles Through Tsang

Niveau 23 : 15,000/30,000, 0 ante

With about 180,000 chips already in the pot and the board reading {K-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{7-Clubs}, Anson Tsang checked from the big blind and Scott Bohlman bet 100,000 from the hijack. Tsang check-raised to 500,000, sending Bohlman into the tank for several minutes. He ultimately shoved for 850,000 and Tsang called with a covering stack.

Anson Tsang: {K-Spades}{10-Spades}{9-Spades}{9-Clubs}
Scott Bohlman: {A-Clubs}{K-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}{7-Spades}

Bohlman was ahead with kings and sevens and Tsang needed to improve in order to stack him. The {3-Diamonds} turn was no help to Tsang and the {K-Hearts} river further improved Bohlman to kings full, so he took the pot to double up.
