Ho Doubles Through Szymaszek

Niveau 21 : 12,000/24,000, 0 ante
Maria Ho
Maria Ho

Christopher Chung raised from under the gun and Matt Szymaszek three-bet. Maria Ho put in a fourth bet and it folded back to Szymaszek who called. They saw a flop of {a-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{4-Diamonds} and Szymaszek led out with a bet.

Ho put her last 27,000 in the pot and Szymaszek quickly called turning over his {j-Spades}{j-Diamonds}. Ho showed {a-Hearts}{a-Spades} for top set of aces and Szymaszek was left drawing dead when the {2-Spades} hit the turn.

The meaningless {q-Hearts} completed the board and Ho earned the pot and the double-up.

Welcome to Day 3 of Event #52: $10,000 Limit Hold'em Championship.

Day 2 saw 56 players in action to start the day with only the final 18 making the money. The money bubble burst in dramatic fashion when Ray Henson was eliminated in a monster pot. Henson had flopped top set holding pocket tens, Ken Deng made a straight on the turn and scored the knockout.

Just 14 players were left in the hunt at night's end, and it was all Dan Zack on Day 2. Zack was seemingly involved in every pot and his aggressive strategy certainly paid out. Zack will return with a staggering 1,217,000 chips and has more than double the next closest stack of Matt Szymaszek who sits with 561,000.

Nick Schulman and Anthony Zinno were in cruise control for much of the day and both will return near the top of the chip counts with just under half a million each.

Bracelet winners Scott Seiver (467,000), Michael Moore (368,000), Benny Glaser (215,000) and Brock Parker (167,000) are also still in the hunt.

The final 14 will return to the Brasilia room at 2 p.m. local time and battle it out for the $296,222 first prize and the most coveted jewelry in poker.

We are less than two hours away from kicking off Day 3 and as always PokerNews will be keeping you up to date on all of the live tournament action.
