Moreno Over Middleton

Niveau 5 : 100/200, 25 ante

There was about 2,000 in the middle already and the flop read {9-Spades}{5-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}. The player in the big blind and Tom Middleton in mid-position had both checked. Last year's Little One for One Drop champion, Adrian Moreno, bet 1,000 and both the big blind and Middleton called.

The turn brought them the {10-Diamonds} on which they all checked to the {5-Diamonds} on the river. The big blind checked, Middleton bet 3,500, and Moreno called. The big blind gave up his hand. Middleton had to show {J-Hearts}{9-Hearts} for two pair, nines and fives, but was beaten by the {k-Spades}{q-Clubs} of Moreno who had the higher two pair with kings and fives.

Drajneanu Done and Dusted

Niveau 4 : 75/150, 25 ante

Sorin Drajneanu tagged in for Alex Papazian and only had 2,025 in front of him after a while. Drajneanu moved all in from early position with {a-Clubs}{5-Clubs} and even though the player in the big blind did consider it for a while, he folded deuces.

The hand right after, Drajneanu shoved for 23,00 from the under-the-gun position and the player in early position did the same for 4,125. The player in the hijack also shoved with the bigger stack and the rest folded.

Sorin Drajneanu: {K-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}
Early position: {K-Spades}{K-Clubs}
Hijack: {A-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}

The board ran out {8-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} for the pocket kings to hold and the team of Alex Papazian and Sorin Drajneanu to be eliminated from the tournament.

Chop Pot Trips

Niveau 4 : 75/150, 25 ante

Eric Mizrachi called for 150 in middle position before Team Silvestrin made it 500. Team Moscati called in the small blind as did Mizrachi. The flop came {j-Spades}{7-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} and the action was checked to Team Silvestrin who bet 1,300, with Moscati making the call and Mizrachi folding.

Both players checked on the {5-Diamonds} turn, and on the river {j-Clubs}, Team Moscati led for 1,500 and Team Silvestrin called.

Team Moscati: {a-}{j-}
Team Silvestrin: {a-}{j-}

Both players held trip jacks and split the pot eventually.

MacKinnon Busted by Perelman

Niveau 4 : 75/150, 25 ante
DJ MacKinnon
DJ MacKinnon

DJ MacKinnon couldn't be found at the table anymore and Rob Perelman was suddenly sitting with a few more chips in front of him. Perelman was kind enough to go through what had happened with some help of his tablemates.

"The player in the under-the-gun position (Amanda?) raised to 350 and MacKinnon called in mid-position," explained Perelman. "I raised to 1,125 from the cutoff and they both called."

Amanda: "In case I flop the nuts!"

"The flop came ace-queen-deuce. They both checked, I bet 1,450, she called. DJ goes all-in for about 9,500. I go all in for about 10,500, and she calls for around 7,500? She had pocket deuces, DJ had ace-queen, and I had pocket queens."

Byrne in Charge

Niveau 4 : 75/150, 25 ante

Daiva Byrne just took over from her teammate, Alan Widmann, and has since managed to add extra chips to their stack.

Just now the board read {2-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{5-Spades}{7-Diamonds} and the player in the big blind had checked to Byrne on the button. Byrne continued with a bet of 300 and her opponent called. Byrne showed {A-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} for the flopped two pair of sixes and deuces to win the pot.

More For Sleeth

Niveau 4 : 75/150, 25 ante

Ashley Sleeth raised to 400 from the cutoff and was called by the players on the button and in the big blind.

They all checked through the {Q-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{k-Hearts} on the flop to the {10-Clubs} on the turn. The player in the big blind check-called the 700 of Sleeth. The player on the button folded.

The river completed the board with the {10-Diamonds} on which they both checked again. The player in the big blind showed {j-Clubs}{j-Diamonds} for jacks and tens but was beaten when Sleeth quickly showed her hand which was {a-Clubs}{q-Hearts} for the higher two pair with queens and tens.
