After two days of play, only ten players remain out of the original 696 entries. Leading the way is Jill Pike with a stack of 651,000. Pike accumulated a lot of chips during the last level, winning several pots against Mesha James.

Jessica Dawley finished the night second in chips with 612,000. Dawley is no stranger to the WSOP. She has $117,258 in total earnings, including two cashes this summer.

Weiyi Mo rounds up the top three stacks with 469,000 in chips. Other notables still in contention include Danielle Andersen (226,000) and Molly Mossey (126,000).

The remaining ten players are guaranteed $6,799 for making it to Day 3. However, they will all have their eyes on the WSOP gold bracelet and the top prize of $130,230. They will return on Saturday, June 30 at 12pm local time and will play down to a winner.

Action of the Day

Day 2 started with 104 players returning and already in the money, but the bustouts came at a rapid pace throughout the day: Monika Zukowicz was eliminated in 90th place ($1,553) early on and was followed to the rail by many notables including Melanie Weisner (70th - $1,782), bracelet winner Cyndy Violette (47th - $2,219), Mina Greco (35th - $2,991), Natasha Mercier (34th - $2,991), Gaelle Baumann (31st - $2,991), and Kristy Arnett in 28th place ($2,991).

The last non-American in the field, Nathalie Schoffer, was eliminated in 12th place ($6,799). The French player found herself in bad shape when she shoved with ace-ten and got called by Mesha James with pocket jacks.

As the day progressed, the action slowed, but at the start of the last level, the unofficial final table was reached when Sara Palmer busted to Dawley in a blind versus blind confrontation to finish in 11th place for $6,799.

Although a lot of exchanges took place at the unofficial ten-handed final table, no player found a double up and all managed to survive to make it to the final day of this event. The PokerNews live reporting team will be on the tournament floor until a champion is crowned, so join us then.
