Three Quarters for Arieh

Niveau 1 : 100/200, 0 ante
Josh Arieh
Josh Arieh

Josh Arieh limped in under the gun, followed by a limp from Tim Burt next to act. The button limped in as well and Eli Elezra called from the small blind before the big blind checked.

The flop was {A-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{3-Hearts} and action checked to Arieh who bet 700. The button and Elezra called while everyone else folded.

On the {Q-Hearts} turn all three checked and they checked again on the {2-Spades} river.

Josh Arieh: {K-Clubs}{6-Spades}{5-Spades}{2-Clubs}
Eli Elezra: {A-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{10-Spades}{J-Spades}
Button: {A-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}

Arieh took down the low pot with his {2-Clubs}{5-Spades} while Elezra and the button chopped the high side of the pot with aces and sevens.

What Not to Shove in a Super Turbo Bounty Tournament

Niveau 1 : 100/200, 0 ante

Poker player and author Jonathan Little gives advice during the WSOP $1K Super Turbo with Bounties Event. Average stack size is around 20 big blinds. What flexibility do you have with that stack size? How should the $300 bounties factor into your play? What should you be limping with? What should you NOT be limping with? He also comments on how his close friend poker player David Peters plays pots against him.

Little Pot Goes the Way of Taylor

Niveau 1 : 100/200, 0 ante
Esther Taylor
Esther Taylor

From early position, Esther Taylor opened with a raise to 600. Action folded around to Brandon Shack-Harris in the big blind and he called.

The flop was {A-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{5-Spades} and both players checked. They checked again on the {Q-Diamonds} turn.

On the {J-Diamonds} river, both players checked a thrid time. Taylor showed {A-Spades}{J-Spades}{2-Hearts}{8-Clubs} for two pair and no low, and that would earn her the pot as Shack-Harris just showed his {8-Hearts} but not the rest of his hand.

Action Set to Get Underway in Second-Ever $10,000 Pot-Limit Omaha Hi-Lo Championship

Bryce Yockey
Bryce Yockey

Welcome to Day 1 of Event #60: $10,000 Pot-Limit Omaha Hi-Lo 8 or Better Championship. This time last year, mixed game players were gearing up for the very first $10K PLO8 event in WSOP history, and it didn't disappoint, with the event attracting over 200 players and generating a prize pool of close to $2,000,000.

It was Bryce Yockey who emerged triumphant a year ago, winning his first WSOP gold bracelet and taking home $511,147. Yockey wound up needing to get through a bigger field than expected, though. The event's inaugural running drew double the runners of some of the other $10K championship events in 2017, and another big field is expected today.

"Every pro I talked to is like, 'Wow this was an amazing success,'" Yockey said after his victory in 2017. "I think everyone who played it had a good time. I know two guys who flew in just to play this tournament."

Today the action will get underway at 3 p.m. local time. Players will receive 50,000 chips and play ten 60-minute levels on Day 1. There will be 15-minute breaks after every two levels.

Stay tuned to PokerNews for all the action from the latest $10,000 Championship event here at the 49th annual World Series of Poker.
