Day 1b of Event #62: $888 Crazy Eights No-Limit Hold’em at the 2018 World Series of Poker will kick off at 5 p.m. local time. Day 1a, which began at 10 a.m., drew a total of 1,703 runners. This is the second of four starting flights; there will be two more at the same starting times on Sunday, July 1. Players will begin with 8,000 starting chips and blinds will be 25/50 at the start of Level 1. Each starting flight will play 18 30-minute levels with a 20-minute break every two levels. Late entry and unlimited reentries are available until the beginning of Level 9.

There were about 1,500 chips in the pot and the board read {J-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{10-Clubs} when we got to the table. The player in the small blind bet 1,200 and Blair Hinkle raised to 3,000 from the big blind. A player in middle position folded and the small blind called after brief consideration.

The {K-Hearts} hit the river and the small blind checked. Hinkle jammed for what looked like 4,300, sending his opponent into the tank. After just under a minute she tossed her cards into the muck and Hinkle took the pot.
